  So much fun. Good, cheap, stupid, FMV debauchery. Definitely getting the sequel if we ever get one.

  A simple concept, an even simpler execution. Story: You play as an unnamed man, who wakes up and finds himself thrust into a weird zombie apocalypse. You have to get your girlfriend, find out what's going on and get out of the town all while trying not to die. The storyline of Press X to Not Die is absurd and incredibly cheesy. Most of the jokes are really clumsy and don't land and they're often repeated multiple times. There's a joke about The Happening that happens twice in the span of roughly 10 minutes and at once it might get a chuckle, but it's not so funny it's worth repeating twice. Graphics: You can easily see from the screenshots that the game is themed after FMV game and of course you can't get graphics better than real life, but here I get to critique the visual quality. I'm not really sure what type of camera they used, but I can tell that it was absolutely cheap. The quality of the footage looks roughly about on par with mobile phone quality. There's a lot of shaky footage and a lot of it is really grainy. There's tons of really cheap props too and the set don't look all too clean either. It feels mostly like a fun project a group of people without thinking about it too much and I do have to say that there was at least some effort put into the footage, although it is incredibly cheap looking. Audio: Press X to Not Die audio design is about similar to the visual quality as in it's pretty amateur. There's a bunch of audio mixing issues which ranges from characters being poorly re-dubbed to audio being incredibly quiet because it's not being picked up properly, which makes some lines of dialogue incredibly hard to understand. The acting overall isn't good whatsoever and I guess it kind of matches the tone of the game which is that cheesy so bad it's good quality and I guess it might work for others, but it definitely didn't for me. There's not many sound effects here either, but what's here also sounds incredibly cheap. Gameplay: The title of the game pretty much says it all. It's mostly a movie where quick time events prevent your death. You press a button to perform an action and sometimes you pick a dialogue option which has a few different joke responses, but that's about all you really do. And it doesn't also work as intended cause sometimes you can press a button and the input will either not register or register it too late which leads to your death. I found this annoying and it sort of lead into a trial and error mode where you know what button will come up, so you know what to press. Also the dialogue scenes don't really have much impact on anything and just sort of there to slow the pace of the game way down and the game is already incredibly short. I guess they wanted to inject some comedy somehow, but I'd rather they found a different way to do so. Verdict: Press X to Not Die is a really bland FMV adventure game. I have to give props that it at least has some semblance of heart in it, but overall it just falls flat on it's face. Even though it's already really cheap, I'd recommend waiting for a sale on this if you want to check it out.   I recently bought a new PC to play newly released games or play old games in better graphics and fps....but....i played the games i always wanted but i didn't have fun i was disappointed, depressed , sad and so damn bored , so i looked for strange and VERY underrated games and i found this gem, finally , i had fun in my new PC after like almost a year, i thought it would be stupid at first but now i realized we need more games like this, and these games are almost easy to make this game was the first game that made me read the names in the credits section and remember their names so if anybody ever asked me who are the best game devs in my opinion, i say your names. Thank you for such an amazing game, you made me smile after a long while and you gave me the joy that witcher 3, ac origins , fallout 4 and many other AAA games were not able to give me.
