  Just under four hours. 100% achievements. Enjoyable, relaxing game. Good stuff!

  Very short, very easy, but still good as a quick +1 complete game. The story is cheesy, but somehow feels a bit better than Hero of the Kingdom 3. Therefore, my mark is 6/10. Still, I can only recommend getting it in a full bundle, or with some proper discount.

  Oh my God, what a night.... Well, yesterday was simply planed. Home after work, dinner, chilling, planing to continue ENDERAL and having a look at the Friends Activity List, what they did that day. Worked very well, until that moment i saw the new Game that a nice Friend, hi Tala :-), bought. Hero of the Kingdom: the Lost Tales 1 In my head it began to work. Remembering Hero of the Kingdom 1 -3, many hours of playing and not to forget the addictive "just one more click". LONELY TROOPS did it. They released a new part. The Rest is more history. Bought it, installed it, played it into the night, got all achievements (All fair) and that all in 4 hours. LONELY TROOPS did it again. They got me. So, what is this Hero of the Kingdom (HotK) all about? It is a short Game, with nice Retro RPG Graphics Style, well fitting music and sounds, a little Story but highly addictive click and go Elements. This Kind of Gameplay is unique. I dont know other Games like this. You just have to click through the Story. No Time running, just relaxing gaming. As in every HotK you start as a "noboddy" that meats trouble in a little world, to help and become the Hero of the Day. This Time a Dragon is attacking a little town and an Orphan Child needs your help. You, yes YOU! have been chosen to fix things right and became the Hero of the Kingdom! Well, you just start with nothing. You have to collect things, raise your Gold, learn better fighting and more, have to do many Quests to raise your population to get forward. And that is done by simpel und chilling clicking. You have to explore a small world and you can simply travel through the maps by easy clicking like in Hidden Object Games. Oh, by the way, you can also choose for things in every map, like in Hidden Object Games. You can sell and buy things,it has a trading system, too. You can also craft things like potions or food. Have a look at your health and raise it often as you can. No, you cant die, but each action needs Health and sometimes more. Again LONELY TROOPS perfectly balanced the Game. i was through in one Go with 100% Achievements without beeing stucked somewhere. Good job! Again the price is worth what you get and yes, Hero of the Kingdom 3 is much bigger and maybe better, but it is like a Movie Series. Seeing again, makes happy. And that is exactly what this game did. It let me forgot everything that is going on outside like Corona, just for a few hours. But well spend hours. Thanks LONELY TROOPS, i`m smiling and thanking you for this little pearl. So, if you are looking for a really simpel but chilling and addictive Game, this is for you. Thanks for reading. :-)

  Very short (about 2h). Step back from HotK3, lacks many mechanism and skills from previous part, returns annoying waiting while sleep, achievements are guaranteed 100% when you finish, nothing new (cultivating the field which you use only 2 or 4 times is hardly something new). Basically it's like little DLC for HotK1. If it was first part of series (aside of how short game is) review would be positive, but judging from how much this game is stripped from elements from previous parts i think it's a jump for money. If you're fan of series buy only on sale and don't get your hopes high.

  This is a mild 'no', the game itself is.. ok. In terms of music and visuals, the game is fine, it's the same as the previous ones there. But the problem is, the previous game changed up a lot of things and the devs clearly took on the feedback and attempted to keep the desirable things and remove the stuff we didn't like. Except they kinda did it wrong, removed some good stuff, enhanced annoying aspects. The result was a game that was more stressful and frustrating than relaxing. The previous games were challenging but relaxing, so this is a shame. The writing is slightly better, much better than the 3rd one, but there wasn't much story to delve into, so I'm not sure if that's an achievement or not. The game play is basically: spend lots of money gathering items for a quest and receive half the money back as a reward, sleep, gather some more items so you'll be able to sleep, sleep because it took all your energy, get another quest, repeat. Half of the game was me sleeping, repeatedly in a row trying to get a decent level of energy, which broke up the game flow significantly. The items are supposed to have an amount of usage before they break, but at one point, I bought a brand new axe, used it, and it broke... I spent most the time dirt poor (like 3 gold poor) because the quests bleed you dry and the foraged items didn't respawn (some respawned very very rarely, most others didn't at all). In contrast to the previous game where they respawned quite a bit, but it became a grind quest... I think something in the middle would have been better. I feel like the devs tried hard to listen to critisism and change it up into a better game but they fell flat on this one. I'm hoping they'll have refined it by the next game, but this one was not too pleasant for me, as I was constantly stressed about being poor, like, I play games to escape that reality XD Of course it is a resource management game, so it makes sense, but it was a bit too extreme in this instalment. The gameplay felt extremely linear, if I went and did something I wasn't supposed to, I'd end up so poor I was almost at the point of needing to start a fresh game to escape the mess. One single choice shouldn't potentially end the game for you imo. Many other reviews have said how short and rushed it felt, how the game was holding your hand, rushing you along a narrow path until you get to the end. And they're fully right.

  If you have played any of the earlier games, you will know what to expect. If you have not played the first 3, I would recommend you try at least one of them first. I really enjoy the casual gameplay and this release is less grindy than some of the earlier ones. It is also a little shorter - I completed the game in under 3.5 hours.   I recommend this game. I must say though, I am an older guy, I've had a stroke, and I can only use one hand. I cannot hold a controller so I need something simple. This game was fun for me and I'm sure it would be fun for a younger child. I wish it were longer and the ending was quite abrupt with a couple beasts left to kill.Having said that I know it is a fun and great game for the inexperienced or beginning gamer.

  Hero of the Kingdom "not-4" is a great little game to pass the time, click things, do tasks, and get a happy ending. Gameplay is very similar to HotK 1-3 so no confusion there, you collect what is needed for the next task and proceed quest by quest, scene by scene, fun fun fun! Seems to be even more polished than the previous games, which is always good.

  [h1]Back to the roots[/h1] So this is a fourth game in the series and i'm so glad it went back to the style of the first game. I didn't like Hero of the Kingdom III, endless grinding and farming was boring and the game just dragged too long due to repetitive tasks. In this game enemies and materials do not respawn which makes the game more enjoyable and doesn't require grinding. As always it has a simple story to tell through dialogues. You're obviously a hero (duh) who finds a little boy and go on a journey with him meeting bandits, vicious animals and even a dragon on the way. You do side quests from townspeople and collect materials to complete those quests. Everything is balanced well in my opinion. To do something you need to go somewhere else, gather materials, make food/potions, buy weapons/tools, go back and so on. Nothing special but it's pretty fun. This game is basically the same and i think maybe developer should think of something new. Sure it's risky because it might end up a failure like the third game. Maybe don't take risky steps? Improve the story, make it more engaging and deeper, i wouldn't mind to read more. Maybe a new mechanic would help. Nevertheless even if it stays the same i'll probably buy the next one. Graphics didn't change, same 2D style which looks pretty enough. There's a lot of areas to explore, each of those looks good. Maybe dungeons could use more variety. This is a 2€ casual hidden object game with some light rpg elements, so if you enjoy similar games it's worth buying on sale. This is one of those games when you can't stop playing until you finish it.
