  The setting of A Summer with the Shiba Inu is without a doubt one of the most adorbs ever. A world full of dogs wearing cute clothes and eating ramen and drinking tea in a fancy restaurant. I'm a huge fan of shibas and one of my fav things in the world is when people dress them like geishas, samurais or businessmen etc. So, when I saw this game I wishlisted it instantly. However, the cuteness is only surface. I came for cute dogs and to unwind while reading something light with not too much interaction, but instead I was yanked into quite a dark and complex story, chewing my nails like oh god what's gonna happen next, and ended up breaking the planet. Defo interested in seeing what kind of other endings are there. The art is pretty, text comfortable to read and soundtrack is nice. Especially the calm theme song is one hecc of an earworm. If you like dogs and reading and want your deeds having the most unexpected consequences, search no more.

  Our dog heroine and dog best friend remind me a lot of Sara and Joe from YTTD/Kimi Ga Shine. And much like Sara from YTTD, interesting things happen to Syd's mentality if she doesn't have the moderating influence of Max.

  Man this game really got me! This was my first visual novel i really played. I never thought i would encounter a story about Shiba Inus competing in a "Ready Player One" style. The Artstyle is so cute and well drawn and the soundtrack fits perfectly! The concept of the world in the story is quite well built and i had the feeling i was given a lot of different choices, which made it really interactive! The characters are so lovely and i got really attached to them! I just finished my first ending today and im going to try to get the other endings as well. The hours i played A summer with the Shiba Inu were really fun so far!

  They are all good doges. 14/10 I have used the Dog bark button in the preference menu more times than I would like to admit.

  Great background art, cute dogs wearing cloths and lots of neat puns. Story is quite philosophical.

  Played: one full playthrough and working towards all achievements. This is a game full of personality. My experience with it so far has been highly enjoyable. The dogs are cute and the various jokes and puns, as well as references to real life and other media/works, have really added a lot of life and humour to the game. The story is deep and provokes a lot of thoughts. Aside from liking the main themes, I really liked the protagonist and the way she evolves throughout the story. Her personality has strong consistency so all of the endings and unlockable scenes I've gotten so far (I think I've gotten most of them) fits very well without her seemingly OOC. It is also very refreshing to see a main character with a strong set of values right from the start and a story that does not weaken or change her in a way that would go against her values and beliefs. Unfortunately I cannot say much here without spoilers. Presentation wise both the art and the music are very nice and fitting. This game also have quite a bit of replay value in order to find all the secrets as a single route does not answer everything you are curious about. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone that likes dogs and/or would like to see a story with some strong and interesting themes.

  I bought this not looking at what kind of game it was or even read the description, I enjoyed the story and it's characters.

  I havent played much yet, it is on my list of games to play soon, but i know that this game is without a doubt a masta piece.

  I was looking forward to playing this game; seemed cute and fun. Best part about it was the bork button. It was convoluted and not cute. Don't waste your dogecoin on this.
