  Faithful adaptation of the board game

  I want to give this a middle thumb rather then a thumbs down but it's definitely not a full thumbs up so here it is. The two reasons are: - game seems to have connection issues, and even crashes up to 5 times a game depending where you're playing it off of. (It doesn't say it's steam deck verified but i can confirm it's not good on the steam deck at all) - If you're like me and figured maybe it would at least run well with the touch screen on a steam deck, no, that's where most of my crashing takes place (though it does disconnect on my laptop too for no visible reason) - nearly impossible to get anyone online to play with so ONLY get it if you're going to be playing with someone you know regularly. that being said the game itself is very fun and I've had a great time with it playing with my wife so far when it's working. Like I said I don't wanna give it a thumbs down because it's a great game, but it can't get a thumbs up due to the technical issues.

  polished virtual version of the tabletop game. definitely the best of the "for the galaxy" series, and this brings the tabletop version well

  A ridiculously addictive game all dressed up with a bug-free & intuitive interface. I suspect I'll be sinking triple-digit hours into this in the same way I did for Race for the Galaxy. I own the physical tabletop version, but now I can finally play it as often as I'd like to. An absolute no-brainer of a purchase. The only minor complaint is that sometimes the 'Easy AI' opponents take actions that seem... odd. Like selecting the Ship action when they have nothing to ship. I'm not sure if that's a logic problem or just a deliberate design choice to ensure the Easy AI makes sub-optimal moves from time to time. No big deal. CAVEAT: I haven't tried online play at all yet, so I wouldn't know if there are problems there or not.

  A wonderful digital adaptation of the dice game; great visuals and slick, intuitive interface. Being able to play the game solo (against AI or online) is a massive plus, as the physical game is 2p minimum and I have not particularly enjoyed the community solo variants. While it will never replace the joy of rolling the physical custom dice, if you want some RftG fun but don't have any willing friends/family around or you just can't be bothered to get it out and set it up, you cannot go wrong with this. Highly recommended!

  Fairly slick port of the board game. If anything it offers a little too much automation, which can lead to lazy (and suboptimal!) play. Smooth and easy to sink time into.

  The interface and AI are good. Playing simultaneously with other players works well. However the asynchronous play really needs an option to speed up play. As it stands on the date of this review players are required to log in and take actions that are completely mandatory. When there is zero choice to be made then the game should proceed (or have the option to proceed) to complete the action automatically continue to the next player. It's really frustrating to have am asynchronous game held up interminably by operations in which the player has no agency, such as the assignment of a single dice during Develop or Settle, or assignment of multiple dice when the outcome is fixed. I respect that programming a multiplayer game is challenging, and I provide these comments in the hope that this could be a relatively simple improvement.

  Frequent crashes...especially as game has more elements in play to keep track of. Too Frequent for me to recommend.
