Police Simulator: Patrol Duty Funciones

Experience the exciting day-to-day life of an US police officer in Police Simulator: Patrol Duty. Discover a large, lively and freely-accessible US city powered by Unreal® Engine 4 and ensure the safety in your district. Record traffic accidents, search for stolen vehicles and arrest criminals. Support other police officers at traffic checkpoints, flag down speeders and write them up. Stop and check every citizen or car you want and enforce the law. Pay attention to fugitive suspects and chase them on foot or by car with lights flashing and sirens blaring. Investigate crime scenes, interrogate witnesses and search for evidence.

Get behind the wheel of three realistically recreated police vehicles with functional cockpits and use the in-car-computer to identify wanted suspects and stolen vehicles. For now, I can not recommend this game. If it was Early-access, I would be more lenient. It is a full release, and it is so full of bugs, it becomes frustrating. You get stuck in doors, the creator made missions in a park that ambulances can not get to, tow trucks get stuck and can't get a vehicle, forcing you to abort the mission. The game has a lot of potential, and if it was actually able to function, I could recommend it. For now, It is just frustrating. You can complete 1 out of every 4 days you work simply because the ambulance gets stuck, tow truck gets stuck, or I even had the "prison transport" spawn with an officer outside of the car and glitch out, not arresting the suspect. Seems the release of the game may have been too rushed. If it's improved, I can change my review. Unless you want to be the tester of the game, hold off until they fix it.

This game has a lot of potential but it is rather disappointing in its current state. I've been following this title for years and now that it's finally released it really falls short of my expectation. It is playable but there are too many features missing to fully enjoy it as a police sim. This "simulator" is missing very basic features that should be in every police game and these missing features is what ruins a potentially great game. I know Bigmoon to be a good company and I honestly expected more from this title since Bigmoon took over. Here are some of my issues with this game: 1. No ability to call for backup, at all - this is the most elementary feature that should be present in any police game. You need to have the ability to call for backup and respond to other officers asking for backup (traffic stops, felony stops, etc...). Also, you cannot request spike strips or do a pit maneuver when chasing a car. All you can do is ram them which is not what police do. Speaking of ramming, when you damage your car you cannot fix it or change it until next shift. 2. You have no partner unless playing coop. An ai partner would be nice to back you up when you're taking shots. 3. You start the game with no firearm: Seriously who sends out a cop on duty with no firearm? 4. Physics need to be heavily revamped. The cars handle wonky, crashing has no physics whatsoever just sudden stop and the other car you hit doesn't even move an inch, sedans stop unrealistically fast and stopping the SUV is like stopping a freight train. When on foot, you cant even run up on the sidewalk and have to jump or run at an angle. 5. Cannot arrest criminals on warrants unless on mission or callout: When you pull over a car for whatever, and find out the person has a warrant, two basic things should happen: Call for backup and arrest the suspect. Both of these basic functions are missing. 6. Ranking system has two purposes: unlock weapons and unlock cars. This whole thing should be revamped. You should not be doing armed robbery investigations as a cadet. I would save those for detective rank and so on. Speaking of investigations, you always find the same evidence for a specific type of case. For example, armed robbery you always have a fingerprint, a usb drive (or something that looks like it) and a pack of cigarettes as evidence. 7. Emergency lights: this is not 1990, all police cars today have strobe lights all over the place and do not use hazard lights as part of their emergency lights, at least not in US. Also, you should be able to activate lights without sirens and have a warning siren/horn as well in case you want to run silent but use the siren for an intersection. Also, what is with the European ambulance model/sounds? 8. You can only search the trunk of a car, not the whole car. 9. No follow up on investigations - You give the evidence to the lab and viola, crime solved. A follow up would be nice such as issue APB, locate and arrest suspect, etc... 10. Cannot deliver arrested criminals to the station on your own, only via automatically calling for transport. 11. People should not die from pepper spray or taser. 12. There are a ton of bugs like randomly appearing cars, disappearing people, ambulances and tow trucks getting stuck, and so on. 13. No ability to control or direct traffic or pedestrians for example blocking a street and rerouting cars at an accident scene or calling for backup to secure a perimeter. 14. There doesn't seem to be a day/night cycle and so far I didn't see any changes in the weather but I may be wrong. 15. Indestructible environment - crashing into a stop sign is like hitting a brick wall. Same with trash cans and other objects that should be easily wiped out by a car. 16. No radar in the car! The only way to determine speed is by getting out of the car and targeting people. Not very realistic, is it? It's not all bad though and the title has some good elements and features that give it a ton of potential. The attention to detail is there on whatever features were implemented. For example, the visible seat belt is a nice touch and the animations are great. I love how the tow truck actually picks up the cars and drives away and ambulances pick up patients with a stretcher. But unfortunately I cannot recommend this game in the state that it's in. I will not refund the title in the hopes that Bigmoon with make things right for their supporters and correct these issues or, at the very least, add modding support so that we can fix them ourselves.

Save your money and read the reviews. I missed the part where the developers said this game will NOT be updated. That means in it's current, buggy, glitchy state, it will stay in its buggy state. The game is almost unplayable. 30 minutes of freeplay in, attempted to do 5 emergency response missions. Every. Single. One. Bugged. Out. Police escort to apprehend suspect get glitched and sit in traffic and don't take suspect away. Other vehicles block emergency vehicles. Tow truck never arrives. Tow truck arrives but remains in reverse gear indefinitely. The graphics are outdated, but I can live with that if the features and gameplay were spot on. Even with 2 8gb 480's in crossfire mode this game hogs up resources and lags. Input control is laggy as well. Such a shame but do not support a game that doesn't care about the consumer.

While it is a fun game... I don't like that this is their release and they basically said in this latest news release "this is all we could and will do. deal with it." Game is laden with bugs and the developers have given no hope of any fixes or new feature. Skip this title and just mod GTA5 to play LSPDFR. Much more fun. Huge disappointment. I wish I could get my money back.

This game crashes a lot and is packed with glitches. After learning that the devs will not be updating or fixing any of this games issues, that just put the nail in the coffin. This game is a complete waste of money.

Eh, it can be fun. I'm torn between recommending and not recommending. My main complaints are the bugs, which obviously can be fixed and will maybe turn my "no" into a "yes." However, it is very clear that this game was not made by someone from the United States, or someone in law enforcement. If you're looking for an authentic police simulator, this is really not one. For example, you can just go around frisking people and searching through their cars. That's completely unrealistic. You also cannot call backup. So if you are in pursuit of a stolen vehicle, it's just you. 1 cop chasing a stolen car ramming it on the highway is completely unrealistic. But also little things like if a criminal runs from you and you taze them, they pretty much fucking die and you need to call an ambulance to take them away. You can't arrest them/ticket them afterwards. There are also just minor details that annoy me. Like, many intersections have a traffic light AND stop signs. It makes no sense. Also, I have experienced that if you witness an NPC run a stop sign and you ticket them, it doesn't count. You lose "conduct" for the day because you made a "fake ticket". If you turn on your lights/sirens to pull someone over, the traffic behind you will sit behind your vehicle honking. Sometimes if you put your lights on, pedestrians start sprinting away and screaming which makes no sense. It just feels clunky and more like an arcade game made by a non-US company.

Hello guys I like to play this game and it makes me a lot of fun. But i think you can make it better. I would like to make my own character (other name, other hair color, other eye color, etc.) I think you also can bring more vehicles (SWAT Truck, Policebike, Unmarked Patrolcar, etc.) in the game. Moreover I would like more guns in the game like an Colt M4 and other weapons that policeforces in the USA use. Also I would like more uniforms( SWAT, Sheriff, FBI, etc.) In general its a good game. But the most important thing is that you fix the bugs. Thanks for reading this

Pretty solid game when it works. The core game play for Police Simulator Patrol Duty is there however this game is plagued with bugs and the developers out right saying there will be no future content for this game really concerns me for the future of this game. First of all the bugs must be fixed the game as it is has some major game breaking bugs such as your character out right just freezing a few minutes before your shift ends causing you to redo the entire shift, secondly I know there will be no future updates but this whole no back up situation is highly unrealistic especially for a game that poses it self as a simulator, before anyone starts telling me you don't need back up first of all let me tell you something about normal police procedure, its not about you needing backup its being prepared if something goes wrong and here's an example you get a call that an officer has been shot and is down in a situation like this you would have multiple officers responding as you do not know if the perp is nearby and how many might be there this is basic officer safety, and then there's the high speed pursuits which require you to "Ram" the perp of course that in it of itself is beyond unrealistic most police chases consist of officers following the vehicle and yes "officers" not the one man army this game portrays you to be and you would only resort to disabling the vehicle (such as a pit maneuver) when absolutely necessary and that is not your call to make usually the lead officer would request a pit and the sergeant would give the okay or not. Now of course its a game I don't expect it to be just like real life and if I just step back and look at the game how it was intended to work its not that bad its probably one of the best standalone police sims (LSPDR doesn't count since that's a mod not a standalone game) and if they actually came around and fixed most of the game breaking bugs and decided to add in some content I would praise this game to no end but in its current state that feels like an end stage beta I would not recommend it. That's my 2 cents hope it gave you a clearer picture or just confused you to no end XD

i do not recommend this game for a very simple reason, the development of this game was a joke, unless i am mistaken Bigmoon purchased this game and then soon after released it as it was and did no further work on it, the release was simply a cash in, and as i write this four months after release there has been no communication from them and no updates, they released the game unfinnished, cashed in on it, and have left it dead in the water.

I love what this game could become, it's glitchy. The controls are wonky, and don't get me started with the gamepad controls. If you're looking for a realistic police simulation game that isn't VR, start here. It's based on UK laws, not all cops carry weapons. It's not action packed, it plays like a simulator. To the devloper, play GTA and learn from their key mappings. It will make your game much more playable. (Spell check doesn't work and I'm dyslexic, sorry for the spelling errors)
