  The good: For a match-3 game, I've never seen more creative, varied puzzles and mini-games. If you play through the main 'story', you're gonna end up with more than 40 hours. That's a lot of bang for your buck - and there're bonus levels on top of that. The meh: The sound effects and matching animations could've used a little more crunch and weight. The chateau building aspect is very similar to Grey Alien solitaire games. It does provide some motivation to move forward, but it's kind of a tired mechanic for me at this point. The bad: I was honestly relieved when I finished the main story - only to find that there's like 10-15 hours more of bonus content. After a few more hours and one slightly frustrating level, I realized I'd had enough. There can be too much of a good thing. Verdict: This is a very good casual Match-3 that will probably steal quite a few hours from your life depending on your tastes. Addendum: Finally finished all the bonus levels - an extra 20 hours! Now please kill me, I'm so done with jewel matching...

  I found this a soothing match game. I enjoy having an option without time limits, but you can play with time or move limits if you like more of a challenge.

  Absolutely one of my top favorite M-3 games of all time. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous with appealing realistically 3-D- like graphics and fabulous castles to 'build' with game perks. Very challenging with lots of varied game elements and tons of replay value. Highly recommended to lovers of games offering lots of sparkly eye candy and relaxing, ethereal elements mixed with great gameplay.

  I own and love the Jewel Match Solitaire games, so I was happy to try the Jewel Match games and purchased both Origins-Palais Imperial and Twilight 3. Both have many pros and few cons, but I want to post a heads-up to those of you who want all the achievements. Here's what I posted in the discussion thread where others had the same issues: "Having seen these comments, I made certain to buy all the upgrades for each scene before moving on to the next one. Neither of the "all the decorations" achievements popped for me. I also bought Jewel Match Twilight 3 with this and had no difficulties with those achievements in that game. While I am not generally a completionist, I find it disappointing to not receive an achievement I have earned." So, pros include excellent graphics and music, clever gameplay and tough decisions on how to spend limited resources. I also find these games to have high replayability. The cons include achievements not working properly and the occasional freeze. If the achievements were actually earnable, I would highly recommend this game. As it is, I can tentatively recommend it, with the understanding that it is fun to play as long as the achievements don't matter to you.

  Looking for a beautiful, high quality matching game? Tired of mobile matching clones and outdated graphics on match 3 classics? This game filled that void for me! The graphics are beautiful. They're stylized to match a detailed, opulent theme, which I adore. The animations of the gems just sitting on the board are wonderful. I love the clinking sounds of the gems as they cascade down the board. The surplus of level mechanics and puzzle + pearl levels add an excellent amount of variety to the gameplay as well, when even solely traditional match 3 would keep me entertained. I also love the overarching element of collecting gems and amulet pieces to build castles. Feeling like there's an extra sense of progress as you complete the levels on the map, populating your personal little relaxing getwaway, is wonderful. The developers also responded within just a few hours of my report of a small bug, which is really great to see. I have a feeling I'll have many more hours than just six on this delightful game. I'm super glad I found it, it seems like good match 3 titles are becoming a rarity! TL;DR: A hidden gem (pun intended) with beautiful graphics and excellent variety. Must-have for any match 3 fan!

  Grey Alien has some of the best casual games I've ever played. They're my go to games to wind down at the end of the day. So relaxing and fun.

  Addictive and nice to unwind to after a hard days work. Got this on sale but would have paid full price for it.

  I'm enjoying this game even though I am typically not a "Match 3" player. Each level has a different combination and number of "rooms" or maps. The match 3 pieces vary and there are "special" pieces that give the game variety. The requirements to finish the levels "perfectly" also vary. The game is fun and relaxing but also somewhat challenging. I would recommend this game. If you need any clarification of how the game, levels or pieces work, there is an IN DEPTH Strategy Guide which you will find in the "Collector's Edition Extras." The developer is very active and "hands on" and if you have any questions or concerns, he closely monitors the Discussions.
