  Short Version: Stay far away from this game. It is buggy, broken, and utterly miserable to play. The only thing scary about this is that they are asking for so much money for this P.O.S. Long Version: Way over-priced for such a buggy and broken mess. Along with looking and feeling like it is unfinished, the game also has a confusing and frustrating trial-and-error style to the gameplay. There is no story, no directions, and no clear method of how to get through the levels, yet the game punishes you for even the slightest mistake. The controls feel delayed, the graphics glitch all the time, and even the menus are confusing to navigate. The complete lack of a HUD also doesn't help matters, as it makes it impossible to try and out-run the enemies. There is also a serious problem with the audio of the game, as it is uncomfortably loud from the very start, and I had to turn my laptop's volume down by a third. The fact that this mess is almost $20 is practically an insult for what little you get for your money, and considering how unfinished the game feels, it is ridiculous the developers are asking for such a price. I got this on sale for $5 and I still feel cheated. Even if you are into horror games, I would not recommend this to you or anyone else, as it soon becomes more frustrating and annoying than actually scary. Absolutely nothing about this game works, and I will not be buying anything from the developers ever again. I strongly suggest that you look elsewhere for your horror games, as there are far better options anywhere else.

  I'm very sorry, because I am totally on board with supporting artists, but this game is genuinely and fully unplayable in its current form. Now, hear me out. I played this game for about one hour, and I tried several methods of passing the present obstacle, which was going downstairs in the apartment building. It is literally impossible to get to the roof, and go down the stairs, without encountering two of the enemies. If you stay on the roof, the enemies will stay in the stairway. There is no other way out. I'm sure that the demo of this game was brilliant. And I have full faith that it will someday be a brilliant game. But at the moment, this is not the quality of a full release. That is to say, the game is unplayable. I put my experience here on Youtube, Weekend Horror with Samanthorium and friends, GOHOME. Unfortunately, I will seek a refund for a 1555 yen unplayable game. I look forward to playing this once it is a truly finished game.

  Short and definitely sweet, but long if you're silly. 10/10 for me. Somehow, I was able to enjoy this for what it is, especially in the survival/horror genre scheme of things. It was quite frankly one of the only horror games that I was able to enjoy properly in a long damn while, due to it's fun and interesting gameplay (except for RE2 and RE3 remake) - I know it's ludicrous to put this game next to those ones, but horror games haven't lived up to the standards that I can't even put my finger on through my spoken thoughts.

  Have not completed this game yet, but this is definitely a comment-polarized game. For those who like the Japanese style and scene design this may be great, but for those pursue outstanding gaming experience this game still has long way to go. You might think the game makes non sense at the beginning, but as the story pushes you will (hopefully) find the joy of this game. Recommend to those horror game lovers, but maybe not regular gamers...

  GOHOME is an unique gem, yet overpriced for its content and with an awful execution. Starting its journey on itch.io, it became a full fledged game, and I was very surprised to see it on Steam. The overall design, randomness and style are unique and its strong suit. The music is always fitting and partially something I would listen to in my freetime. I dont see much of a story or reasoning here, aside from the goal to reach your apartment. GOHOME is broken down into six sections, each of them being different from the rest. The reason why I cant recommend it, is because its a broken mess on the technical side. I encountered random crashes when leaving or minimizing the application, events did not trigger, making progress impossible, specifically in the apartment. It also gives you constant screen tearing. Its just really bad. Wait until its fixed before you intend to purchase it. Its very inflated from the developer to sell it for such a price in this state and honestly, the length is a joke, you can complete this game in under 15 minutes if you know what to do. 5$-8$ is respectable, ONCE its optimized.

  This game is a masterpiece. Both the art and the music are beautiful but the game is broken and the price is too high. I hope the creator fixes the bugs and glitches and lovers the price a little. If you are looking to buy the game maybe wait a little bit for all the technical issues to be fixed. ★★★★
