  I finished this on mobile a couple of times. I'm only about an hour in to this version, but it is even more fun on PC. Using a controller is a lot better than the touchscreen. I was kind of surprised at how big everything looks on a monitor, but I got used to it quickly. Fun game and worth the money, imo.

  Plays like a much simplified cheaper version of [b]Rogue Legacy[/b]. You enter a randomised dungeon, kill enemies, collect loot, buy upgrades, and suddenly enemies that were hard become easy and new harder enemies replace them. Boss fights are fun, new equipment shows on your character and basic [i]platforming[/i] mixed with [i]hack n slash[/i] combat provide a solid experience.

  + Randomly procedural dungeons - very short game until you meets a boss - Uninteresting combat mechanics, no shield to defend - You need to smack a wodden box 3 times before money comes out so you keep spending time on smacking boxes more than fighting enemies

  I tried to give this game a fair chance, but overall I was just sick and tired of jumping through the games hoops to get the weapons, loot and gear I wanted. No matter what your strength level is, wooden boxes and just simply objects with coins hidden inside take 3 hits to destroy. After that, coins spew out and you literally have to chase them. And to make it even worse, those coins are only worth $1 each. Combine that with gear like weapons and armor...These have to be bought in order, so even if you have enough money to buy a higher skill item you can't buy it until you buy the cheaper one first and waste your money. Dumb. So pretty much the game is designed to work against you and to constantly make you do these things in the most mundane fashion. Over and over and over.

  [EN-US] The game itself is looking fine, but the controls is a lot weird, it has a lot of delay, non-sense keybinds, the game looks like it's limited to 30fps, and others... The only reason that i'm not refunding the game is because i know that it probably took a lot of work to develop it. [PT-BR] O jogo em si está legal, porém os controles dele são extremamente horríveis, tem muito delay, combinações de teclas sem sentido, parece que o jogo está travado em 30fps, entre outros.... A única razão de eu não pedir reembolso é porque sei o trabalho que deve ter dado para ser desenvolvido.

  I can't believe it's only 49 cents when on sale... Truly a fun game, with smooth controls, great action and some nice music. Very addictive.

  This is one of the best cheap games I've bought on Steam. Devious Dungeon is very enjoyable; it feels like a roguelike or a classic gameboy game but isn't very punishing at all. For a casual game, it is just the right level of difficulty: the three-level checkpoint system forces you to put some effort into preserving your health, but the inevitability of collecting coins and purchasing new weapons and armor makes the game far less frustrating than it would otherwise be. Admittedly at the later stages it can feel grindy and repetitive if you have to do them over and over again for coins, but the random generation of dungeons alleviates this. Devious Dungeons is for the most part, a well-designed game; there's a good amount of variety in the enemies you'll face and the controls, while wonky at first, are easy to get used to. My only major complaint would be that there isn't a ton of replay value for this... you could defeat all the bosses and get 100% achievements in a few hours, and then there's really not much else to do besides spending a few more hours maxing out your weapons and equipment. But before then, it's a very satisfying game that I found addicting enough to beat in just a few play-throughs. It is easily worth the 50 cents I paid on sale, and even its normal price isn't bad for what is a very fun, well-made game.

  Pretty simple, but mostly fun. ~~~Pros~~~ Platforming is tight, responsive. Enemies and level design are good. Game is simple and enjoyable and well enough programmed that every death will be your own fault, which is hard to say for a lot of games. ~~~Cons~~~ * Upgrades are... meh. Just stronger weapons and accessories. In fact, the accessories and potion upgrades are mostly pointless until much later, when weapon upgrades are much more expensive. * It took me quite a while to figure out why sometimes my character wouldn't jump: if you're even slightly holding down when going left or right and you try to jump, it won't. So beware analog users with a slightly downward tilt. * The healer every floor break is... pointless? 50 gold to heal, but you can just die and start there for free? * I haven't beaten it yet, but later/towards the end, progression seems quite slow for the style of game. * Overall, pretty easy. I'm going full attack and haven't struggled too much on Hard mode, except the executioners... * Controller controls are fine in game (except the earlier exception), but menu navigation is.. slow? I feel like sometimes it's doesn't read my input, or it's just painstakingly slow. Also I can't figure out how to fully quit the game with a controller. AND I didn't realize you have to "change mode" at the file select to do Hard Mode, it apparently uses different save files? Kinda odd. * Crates, vases, etc., always take 3 hits to destroy. Small annoyance. * There is no experience overflow for levelling up. So that book that I got when I had a sliver of exp until the next level was mostly wasted and I should've levelled on an enemy first... * A couple of enemies seem a bit "cheap." Executioner is just difficult, but the big club guy later on seems to have a massive personal hitbox that damages you when you're *close to* touching him. * The quests are.. mostly an afterthought. Early on they're great sources of money, and while later on their reward isn't negligible, it's just the quest can be any old enemy from many floors earlier. They can't be recycled and they have to be completed in one run. If they were more tweaked to be relevant I think they'd make a great source of a steadier income late game. I know this seems like a lot of cons, but they're mostly nitpicks. I got it on sale for $0.50, so I can't complain. If you're fond of this kind of game, definitely pick it up, you can beat it in an afternoon or two.

  lots of weapons and gear, interesting dungeons, good animations and massive detailed worlds this game is a great journey for those who love knights, as well as elimination tons of monsters
