  I do like this game. I even love it. But who knows if its still in development. Almost an entire year is too long to go without an update or devblog. This is not what early access is supposed to be like. If I invest in your game before its complete, I am at the very least owed a "Hi, here is what we're up to" post. I will change my review if an update ever comes.

  TLDR: Don't bother buying it. It's basically abandoned. Long Version It really pains me, having to write this. I LOVED Desert Skies, truly. I loved literally everything about it, from the overall concept (endless desert, seemingly no people left anywhere, travel by airship, etc) and music, to even the frustration caused by survival mechanics. It was amazingly fun and provided hours and hours of truly immersive gameplay for me (as you can see, I have >100 hours on record). I still remember my anxiety over running out of water and seeing NO settlement anywhere but WAAAAAAY in the distance. This game could have been great. SHOULD have been great. It WOULD have been SO much more, if not for the absent developers. In the past, they would actually pay attention and work on the game. Early access is MEANT for developers to work WITH their community, and White Rabbit Games did that. For a while, anyway. It's been almost a full year since the last update. The developers go MONTHS without a single post or tweet. It truly is sad when such a promising game turns rancid by developer abandonment.

  I purchased this game knowing it was likely abandoned. Still, it looked good enough to play, and I'd be lying if I said i didn't enjoy the experience, but I can't recommend it in the current state . Perhaps the developers will pick this project back up one day - and I sincerely hope they do! There's a lot of potential here and I can see some easy ways to make some strides in progress and game quality if there's ever a return to development. As it stands: Graphics 3/5 - It's not fancy but quite charming; there are noticeable visual errors sometimes Sound 4/5 - Solid soundtrack that ties the game together, FX feel like good fits Gameplay 4/5 - Left me wanting a complete game; some items appear to be actually useless Difficulty 3/5 - Once you get over the first hurdles you're flying in style; variety in enemies was alluded to but not present sadly Overall 3/5 - It's Steampunk Raft, but the developers seem to have given up halfway for some reason.

  Dev's have ghosted and abandoned the game and community. Unfortunately I can not recommend the game because of this and that it's unfinished and lacking content. I do hope the dev's will come back but don't waste your money on this game.

  Do not buy the game is not even half finished. Many options in the game are not there ...they have to come with next update the game says. Guess what no updates.

  Dev stopped updating game and went radio silent on all social media, game has been abandoned and should be taken off the store.

  So Far, I LOVE it. It's a fantastic take on a new-ish survival mechanic, and the seeker is a bit scary. it does get confused by unusual terrain (such as jumping up on a crate), but other than that, it is truly terrifying. I am definitely coming back to this game, especially with the devs saying they'll update every 1-2 weeks. So excited to see what's in store for this little underdog of a game.
