  SERIOUS, MOODY & MYSTERIOUS- A thoroughly enjoyable HOPA. It hits all the right notes with me. The graphics are clear, with neutral colors, and have an almost painting like quality. I love these kinds of graphics. The story is serious and not childish, infact there's nothing for children here. You collect hints along the way, and I did need to use them a few times. I loved the way 'dilapidated' is done, and there was no lag in the story. 12 or so HOPS to play, of wordlists, with some items requiring a further step. The game is chaptered into sections -you can't roam freely. You can change difficulty levels during the game. I really liked a particular feature of this game (which I don't come across in most HOPA games), which was that the chapters are saved automatically! Maybe that's a feature of 'Steam' ? Anyway, it's a great, and features under the Menu option as 'Load.' I experienced a glitch of an item not going into the inventory, and I was able to instantly pick up the game again, by choosing the most recent save option.

  *Free of Spoilers* "Crossroad Mysteries: The Broken Deal" is a HOG/Adventure Point & Click type of game. The story will take us to the dark and mystery locations with detailed atmospheric graphics, many interesting mini-games and hidden object scenes. The new feature in this game is making your own choices, which is building the tension. Game is pretty dark and the story have some intense moments so be ready :)

  This is a very good HOG, what I liked the most were the mini games, they all required quite a bit of thought. It is nice to be challenged on puzzles instead of basically the same thing in HOGs. I decided to leave the game loaded on my computer so I can go back later and do them all over again because I liked the mini games that much. IF you are looking for a bit of a challenge I recommend this highly.

  I liked the game, the puzzles and HOGs were a little different then usual. Some of the puzzles were way too hard though, even though was able to finish most of them a couple couldn't even find anyone solving them on the internet. Some of the ones that did solve took awhile to see what they wanted. Think they could have done a little more with the crossroads demon than they did. Going to have to try again. That card game was hard to understand and lost. I kinda don't want to recommend it, but since it was so different from the normal ones and the artwork was great I will.

  The puzzles were really confusing and the instructions were too vague. It played like a game that is much older. It seemed pretty clunky.

  Confusing ending, wtf, what even happened? Did someone die, did someone live? The story was left way too open. Confusing puzzles and controversial instructions (for example remove yellow tiles, when actually meaning shit under the tiles, not actual yellow tiles). Wasted money even though the game was on sale.

  As hidden object type games go, this one is just OK - barely recommended - I give it 6.5 out of 10. If you like hidden object games, put it in your wishlist and wait for it to go on sale. [list] [*]It is short, good for about 3-4 hours of playing time. [*]The plot is a bit confusing to be honest - you play as Anna, a young woman trying to unravel events from her past. [*]The artwork for the locations and objects is well done - on par with similar games. [*]The hidden object scenes are nicely drawn - again on par with similar games. I did not run into any clues that were unclear. [*]The puzzles are pretty easy, but the instructions were not always clear so you may need some trial and error to understand what they are looking for. [*]I did like the way the background objects shudder in response to a mouse click. [*]You should not have too much trouble collecting all of the achievements if you are so inclined. This is an easy perfect game.

  I didn't mind the story line. I liked that it would finish one scenerio and then go on to the next. But I did experience severe drag and the hints to earn were really hard to see.

  I really liked this game. It was different from other point and clicks, had a good story, and had an actually challenging expert mode. I didn't really understand what the ending was all about, but I enjoyed the rest of the game.

  Thumb slightly up. This game is basically OK. The story is only mildly interesting, but the game does have some cool puzzles, most of which are pretty easy, but at least two of which are fairly complex. I spent over an hour on the gear and mirror puzzles together. The music and images are nice and the voices are OK. There are two spots in the game where you have to choose between two options. Picking the wrong one will cause your character to die, whereupon you have to reload the game and choose the other option (so what's the point?). The HOGs are OK, containing visible objects and objects you have to uncover. I did find myself doing some pixel hunting to find hot spots and useable items because sometimes it wasn't obvious what needed to be done. There were a few English words in the HOG lists that I consider to be incorrect, such as "hairbrush" for a comb. I found the card gambling game at the very end to be quite annoying as I don't gamble or play these kinds of games, so I had no feel on how to play it. My husband managed to beat it. The map, which is supposed to indicate which rooms contains available actions, in several instances showed nothing even though there was something I could do. This was especially true throughout most of the hospital scenes. There is no bonus chapter and there are no extra features. If you want to give this game a go, pick it up on sale.
