  This is a great adaptation of the board game. Very playable and enjoyable even in early access. Pros: - Learn history through reading about the 17 factions in the game. - Easy to learn yet strategic enough to reward good planning - Runs great and has good tool tips and interface - AI isn't outstanding but is decent - Great for singleplayer - Access to a great board game design at a much cheaper price than a physical copy -Aesthetic and art style feel great for the setting -You can do split screen and play with others on your device Cons: - AI could be stronger but Devs mentioned they plan to tweak and improve that. Over all this is a great adaptation and very ready for play despite early access. Definitely recommend if you enjoy the historical setting, and/or board game type video games. I should also mention that this version seems to be based on the 1986 version of Britannia by fantasy flight. That version is out of print and I believe fairly hard to find. So there is added value in that as well.

  Really enjoying and easy to play. Game prompts for the builds and movements so playing moves along at a steady clip. Devs - any insight on when you expect multi player to be available?

  The game is very easy to pick up if you know the board game, even if you aren't used to playing computer games, and automates all the bean counting, allowing the player to focus on strategy. Highly recommended.

  I played the Avalon Hill board game version of this over 35 years ago and still have it. This is a very faithful adaption of the board game, though of a slightly later version (more Leaders, yellow vs. purple faction, Saxon burghs). I've played through the full 16 turn game and really enjoyed it. It's great that each faction has multiple nations/groups- really keeps you engaged in the game as you go through the different eras. Very interesting simulation of 1,000 years of the history of the British Isles as one era's invaders become established and are in turn invaded by new groups later in the game. Plus having multiple groups of Vikings is always a plus (Norsemen, Dubliners, Danes, Norwegians). I definitely recommend this game to history and war game enthusiasts.

  Recommendation on Early Access, with a caveat for 'early access' as it can't be played multiplayer yet. I played one game all the way through and everything seems to work as intended, and the AI made it interesting. Full approval will require multi-player to work well, and some AI improvement would be nice, although I've seen F2F players play worse than the AI as it is. I am a big fan of the boardgame, having played it since the original AH release in the 80's, and I love all the history covered in the game arc. If boardgaming and/or history are not your thing, this might not be your game, as it is very faithful to it's source.

  I was a BIG fan of the Britannia board game as a student so I may be biased. That said I've been enthralled by this game who recreates really well the complexity of the original board game and the pleasure to play. All the rules and depth are there and really pay in game experience with a good AI. I like the scenarios too as they add more flavour and expand the game into replays. Thanks for adapting my favourite board game :)

  Played only 40 minutes but it really feels like a boardgame, i love it so far. All the rules are explained very well an the sound and music are fitting well. Nice job so far, looking forrward to more dlc's ;-)

  This is a good, luck based strategy board game. As they said "multiplayer coming soon" but we have 0 ubdates on that for months, and i think we never gona get it. This is a boardgame, you probably want play against other players but we dont have multiplayer and the AI is way too weak to be a challenge. Looks like this game is not beeing developed! i dont recomend to get this, in current state not worth it, and we dont see any meaningfull progress. The game is fine tho, i suggest to wait for the multiplayer realese before buying it.(if we ever gone get that)

  If you like the board game , you will love this implementation. It plays the same certainly makes things easier. I definitely recommend it!

  Britannia is one of my favorite board games, and I'm happy to see it on Steam. Up to now the game runs well, but there are still some problems. Bugs: 1. After moving units and before going into the next phase, saving and loading the game will make it unable to start battles. Both sides will just sit in the same area without battling. 2. When some nations (Norsemen and Normans for sure, and perhaps someone else that I haven't discovered) end moving, before starting battles, saving and loading the game will make those nations automatically gain Victory Points before even battling. (And of course they still have the Points even if they lose the battle.) 3. Sometimes Romans doesn't get his reinforce in Turn 4. (But it works well in Turn 2, 3 and 5.) 4. In Turn 4, sometimes Angles will be forced to remove a unit before his 3 units retreat to sea. The same happens to Danes in Turn 11. In a single game, 3 units of Danes didn't retreat to sea (but the other 4 units did). 5. In Turn 7, if Romano-British doesn't have any unit (I'm not sure if some more requirements are needed), his leader and knights doesn't come. 6. If the Scots doesn't hold any land after Turn 7, the unit which comes in Turn 8 will stay on the sea, but Scots doesn't have his turn to move that unit. In a game Scots gained its turn in Turn 13 and the unit on sea was finally able to move onto land, and in another game the unit stayed on sea until the game ended. 7. In Turn 14 Danes will always be forced to remove 4 units, no matter how many units has come. Additionally, if Danes already have all his units, Knut won't come and the Danes can't be the king, but he still have to remove 4 units. 8. In Turn 16 when Normans have reinforces, sometimes clicking on the sea doesn't work, and I have to save and load. Something else: 1. The AI plays too poor. 2.
