About the Game

A tactical FPS with online team-based action game play that takes place in a variety of locations in Bangladesh with Real-life scale & resource management. Inspired by various other tactical shooter games, Zero Hour tries to bring a very grounded CO-OP and Team vs Team experience in locations with real-life scale (no video game scale) and resource management. In multiplayer, both sides are tasked to wipe out the other team and complete objectives. The defenders are tasked to protect the bomb from being defused and keep their hostage from being rescued and running away. On the contrary, the attackers are to defuse the bomb or rescue the hostage held captive. In the CO-OP mode, based on the map you decide to play in, will have several objectives that will need to be completed in order to call for extraction.

TACTICAL GAMEPLAY

Zero Hour brings a very grounded CO-OP, 5v5, team vs team, Close quarter combat experience to the game that focuses on two teams with each player having their own roles. The attackers utilizing shields, weapons and the planning table and the terrorists utilizing traps and gadgets in order to fortify the area. With CO-OP game mode will allow you to play bigger operations that you can either tackle solo or with a team of up to 10 players. The game mode will have a difficulty level of "Regular" or "Hardcore". The difficulty level will determine the reaction time and predictability of the enemies. The game mode will not prioritize killing all enemies and will allow stealthy approach to complete objectives. You will be able to arrest the enemies if in the right scenarios. You will also need to collect evidence, such as dropped guns from the enemy.

CO-OP

The CO-OP mode is a new installment we added where players can play to achieve the experience of SWAT units. This game mode will allow you to play bigger operations that you can either tackle solo or with a team of up to 5. With each operation, you are tasked to complete objectives such as bringing order to chaos. There are more objectives such as rescuing multiple hostages, arresting or neutralizing specific suspects and more which are being added down the line. Suspects may or may not have patrolling routes that are random every session and can interact with the environment to give it a challenge. They can hide under beds, tables and inside closets. They are also capable of taking a hostage and use them as a shield, making it harder for you to engage. Suspects can also surrender based on a few criteria; If a suspect is outnumbered from behind they will always surrender and if you are one on one with a suspect, based on the suspect's fear level, they may or may not surrender.

PLANNING TABLE

At the start of each round, MS-09 Unit (The Attacking Team) can come up with strategies by drawing in the planning table with a 3D miniature version of the location being played similar to the use of blueprints. It can be used to direct teammates where to spawn and/or advance from. There are 3 types of marker that you can place around the planning table which can indicate danger and objectives. During this phase, The Terrorists (The Defending Team) will be given time to place traps and gadgets to aid in their defense strategy.

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Both Teams have resources that they need to manage per 3 rounds. The Attacking Team has 2 sets of 7 types of weapons while The Defending Team has 5 sets of 5 types of gadgets. This is crucial in terms of saving your resources, picking up and utilizing your opponent’s weapons, and not giving an advantage to your enemies

HOSTAGE

The hostage held captive by the defenders will have its own mindset which means it would run away if not careful. This indicates that it would be critical to keep an eye on the hostage and move it around wherever a player feels necessary.

DOORS

In order to bring a realistic approach, the doors help in encouraging slow and tactical gameplay. It would cause both teams to hesitate before entering a room since it will be oblivious to know what’s going on behind the door.

BREAKER SWITCH

The switch causes a complete blackout of the whole operation building that you're playing on. By doing this, the players won’t be able to visualize their surroundings unless they use the tactical flashlight.

    I have a lot to say so here we go: I saw a random video on this game and it looked cool so i bought it. The gameplay was exactly like the video, a friendly community, i have seen no hackers, and i have read the negative reviews and people are just too hard on this game. It has fantastic gunplay and animations in my opinion. But to not glorify the game: there is a lack of maps and players. I have stumbled upon the same people 3 rounds in a row. We need a bigger playerbase. And second off: there are a couple of maps but you never get to play most of them, i have played 3-4 different maps so far. And almost no people play the co-op. The maps have procedural generation tough with furniture being on different places each time, the 3rd person animations are well, not particularly good. Especially for hostages, player animations are good but hostages are annoying as sometimes they don't follow you or just start eating dirt right infront of you. The AI are really weird too, the animations are better then the hostages but sometimes they don't see you while your rappeling on a wall then do a 360 and kill you with a shotgun. The game is rather hard but you'll get used to it after a while, just don't be that guy who always spawns on the other side of the map while the rest of the team tries to enter from another side. The gun system can be annoying but after a while when you die less you don't get bothered with it. The game is really fun and its fun to play with friends. Controls are hard to get used to at first but you'll get used to it. The Co-op menu is pretty confusing but since the community is really friendly you can ask them and they'll teach you! If they spend some time on playerbase etc this game will grow out to be really good! Here are some notes for the devs to work on: -A tutorial on how to use the menu -Advertising and playerbase sponsor some youtubers make youtube ads or some crap. -Community events. add some events so the community doesn't get bored. On a smaller scale then operations. -More stamina please. -Quests -More gamemodes TL:DR Slow paced shooter. Not much players Friendly community Not a lot of weapons right now. people are really harsh on this game. keep in mind this is a early access game so some of my points will be outdated and you might not get what you expect. Thats it thanks for reading my review! Update: As of the release of operation red wedding the game has gotten way better, more guns have been added there are now 15 primary weapons, not including the shield 4 pistols totalling to 19 weapons+ the shield with good customization. I believe that in later updates the game will get more guns and other updates. Red wedding is a fantastic update and has grown the community a bit from what i believe and matching is way faster, the training grounds have been updated and are way bigger and better now. A lot of the things i said at first still stand and this game is still worth it. Further: a fix for the stamina problem would be to add a sort of adrenaline system where in the defense pace you would go slow with less adrenaline flowing through your body, avoiding spawn peaking. When the round starts you have more stamina allowing you to run for longer amounts of time and making you go slightly faster. When shot at your adrenaline bumps up giving you more stamina and making you go faster allowing you to flee in some situations and return with more teammates. TL:DR Red wedding: Slow paced teamwork shooter Enough guns for variation Low stamina Bigger playerbase but just not enough, it has increased tough. Menu can be kind of clunky at times but further its alright. Notes for the devs: -add something like the adrenaline system i mentioned. -add some sort off missions example: become mvp 3 times and get something -something like events -more playerbase would be nice -there is still a lack of gamemodes.     was decent, tho low player base, now its dead after they added denuvo, to people unaware denuvo is basicly a anticheat that allows the devs to get root access to your computer, its toxic and bad, its known to cause huge issues with random computers and was added about 3 months ago from when i am making this review DO NOT BUY - ITS DEAD AND WILL INSTALL VIRUSLIKE ANTICHEAT

    Co-op is pretty good, but I haven't played Ready or Not. That might be a better game, but I can't say that for myself. It's better than Rainbow Six: Siege, that's for sure.

    When I bought this game it sucked, but the devs are super cool and keep updating the game and making it better and better now it is a pretty solid game that can soon be better that zero hour.

    The videos for this game make it look way better than it really is. The sound is bad. The controls are clunky. The load times between matches is too long. The forced online for solo is stupid. The AI is odd. The timer at the start to solo missions is lame. The constant need to select your weapons after each round is tiring. The whole thing just feels really amateurish. For the price, it's passable, but when games like Ready or Not are pushing the boundaries, this one feels like something from 2004.
