About the Game

Plane Mechanic Simulator puts you in a role of an RAF ground crew technician at the start of the Battle of Britain. You will face various tasks ranging from simple refueling to engine repairs and gun harmonization. In order to bring you the best possible experience we have meticulously recreated 3 legendary British aircraft of that era:

  • Supermarine Spitfire Mk.1

  • De Havilland Tiger Moth

  • De Havilland Mosquito

  • Hawker Hurricane

  • Bristol Blenheim

  • And more to come!

Plane Mechanic Simulator offers 81 missions, almost 800 parts to tinker with and an unprecedented attention to detail.

The game also features a unique campaign where you are assigned to a specific squadron with your own machine and pilot. Make a mistake and he might not return from a mission. Perform well and he will become an ace.

this game is going to make my 9 year old a very very very happy kid indeed, he has high functioning autism, loves taking things apart, loves WW2 aircraft, this ticks all the boxes, much thanks for the 50% off, will update this review with what he thinks of it later, his favourite aircraft are the Spitfire / Mosquito / Avro Lancaster...... -=EDIT=- Yes he damned well loves it, had to fight him for the PC so gets a thumbs up from me, he thinks its brilliant, explained about early access but he reports no bugs yet, one very happy child :D only thing he says that is not up to his liking is positioning of the ladder to access the tiger moths fuel cap which he's finding tricky, he's already built his own tiger moth in Kerbal because of this game, he also says maybe in the future he would like to be able to test fly the planes once fixed another good addition would be multiple player profiles, this way i could actually get a go without interfering with my sons game, i got told no i cant play because it will mess up his campaign :D

The idea behind this game is spectacular. Congratulations on continuing to try to improve the game, however, it is better to stop everything and start from scratch. - The game's approach is as follows: "We've already found the problem for you, go and exchange X parts and don't forget anything." - When the approach should be: "This aircraft returned from a mission to the southeast of Ramsgate yesterday afternoon, it appears that it was hit in the upper part of the nose in an attempt to dodge the attack of a BF-109 fighter, the engine no longer seems to be providing all the necessary power." Solve it. (There's the fun part of it.) Requires improved knowledge? Quite difficult? I don't know how to do it? - Great, offer a highly interactive manual in the game, accordingly with the aircraft's manufacturer standard procedures. Trust, one of the main problems at the root of this game will be solved. Still that hard? - Add Co-op Multiplayer. Where the players use local and radio voice comms to solve problems togheter, as a team. People who plays this kind of games tend to approach with a thirst for real knowledge. Also, where's the background history? Where's the emotion? Characters, cutscenes, the feeling of fear, anger, frustration (In the way which makes us stronger, not bad gameplay.) then courage, persistence, dedication and satisfaction. Make it human for christ sake. That was total war, make us feel like we were in there, thriving for the Allies, giving nothing but sweat, blood and tears. Suggestions: - Mechanics is problem solving, logical deduction, elimination of possibilities, investigation, finding of facts and analysis of probabilities. The player needs more autonomy when it comes to activities to find and work with his own challenge and proceed with originality. - Develop a more holistic interface. Do not try to make the player's vision and interaction rigidly immersive and realistic. - Maintenance of internal combustion aircraft by itself is already a challenging and discouraging task. Add adapted manufacturer's manuals for better interactive interpretation in game. Do not worry about the absolute veracity of the facts initially, first lay a solid foundation for gameplay. - This game is developing out of chronological order. Do not waste your time adding new aircraft, when even with the previous ones we were unable to interact correctly and have fun with the game. It is adding dead weight to the tired horse, until it falls.

Bait and Switch. The developers completely, and single-handedly ruined this game. The new UI is hot garbage and does not fit the theme of the game. Refueling, is completely automated and no longer sim-like. I purchased this game July 8, 2019, and over a year later it is far worse than it was at that point in Early Access. Stay the hell away from this steaming pile of shit until the devs fix their ways and listen to what people want. This game is no longer a sim of any kind. The new planes they added (Hurricane, Mosquito, Blenheim) are far lower quality than the Spitfire and Tiger Moth were and it's utter nonsense. These devs need to fix their ways and fast.

Game was originally enjoyable if a little rough around the edges. After release though the original developer stopped supporting it. Eventually another was brought in and they made some bizarre changes, added a new plane, and then abandoned it as well. Ever since that it's been used as an advertising platform for sales on the publishers other games via the announcement channel. Overall a pretty subpar experience with this game.

Do not even bother supporting these shitty developers. I will admit the original game was slow in development at first but as of late the dev's are starting to dumb the game down. Before recent UI updates the game had a realism and uniqueness to it. You had a clipboard that could literally sign with your mouse your signature anyway you wanted. You could check your tasks, repair parts and double check things. You also had to physically remove refueling hoses and unscrew the fuel caps of planes yourself. Now? You have some crappy scroll wheel that you would find on some lame crappy console port game. The Dev's are arrogant, rude and up their own asses when it comes to responding to the overwhelming criticism about the recent UI changes. The UI was already implemented from the previous developer team before the recent developers took over. It was realistic (Which is funny since this is suppose to be a SIMULATOR and realism is a part of that genre!) but suddenly the dev's dumbed down the game by changing the UI. The Dev's are trying to cover their asses by saying it caused too many bugs and problems and that it turned off new players. Not only does this prove they are dumbing down the game to cater to idiots but are also lying. I played 16 hours of the game before the recent updates and never once did I see a glitch or problem with the old UI. And when confronted about this the DEv's are either ignoring newer posts or they are rudely telling people, We had to change the UI because of bugs. And no you can't have the old UI as an option, The new Ui stays." In my opinion as the rest of the community as of late I would say do not give these lying shitty developers your cash. They are not listing to the player base and are just rude fucks to begin with. Save your cash and buy a different game rather than this one.

The game used to be great but fairly soon after its release the original devs abandoned the game. The new devs came along and completely ruined by adding terrible looking aircraft that also weren't fun to work on and added new UI changes that took away from the original feel of the game. I wish I could give a positive review and I used to be able to but I just can't anymore.

I really like the game in its current state. No crashes so far. Very polished. Pro: -Good graphics -No need to turn every single screw manually :-) Neutral: -Filling the fuel tank at every job.. Neg: -Repairing items depends on good aiming in a mini game. Don't understand why people complaining about the missing tutorial. Just read the tips and tricks at the bottom of the screen. Everybody can do that.

i'm an ex-military aircraft engineer who's worked on some of these engines and its like stepping back in time, the graphics are the best I've ever seen and the game play is easy to move tools around and get work done.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! The game is dead. As of December 13, 2021, The game hasn't been updated since November 2020. Then they have the audacity to ask and beg people to Nominate it for the "Labor of Love" Award and call themselves "Good Parents". Nothing says "Good Parents" like abandonment and neglect. Not to even mention they've changed a lot of the game, like the clipboard and being able to sign. They completely removed that and refused to budge on the idea because they didn't want to do work. They essentially told us to sit down and shut up. They ask for feedback then fight us when we say what we actually want. All they do anymore is tell people to buy other games. Damn shame too, game was fun and had so much potential. TLDR: DO NOT BUY, Abandoned, much different and they don't care, and all they do is tell you to buy other games. -1/10

I really want to recommend this, but I simply cannot considering the fact its already completely abandoned. No bugfixes, no new RAF planes, no Axis planes, no new missions etc. The Devs wrote the following in their defense: Hi. Developer here. Please contact the publisher for more details. We would like to finish the game however for some reason out of our comprehension this is not possible. We have been trying to find a solution to do this for more than a year. No response from the publisher whatsoever. This is all I can really say. Sounds fishy to me, but nonetheless I strongly advise to not buy from this publisher
