  All three Kingdom Rush games are basically the same kind of tower defense and are absolutely essential purchases for anyone that loves tower defense games. You simply will not find better value for money in the genre. The art is charming, the design is rational, there are plenty of strategies that will win each level (in all 3 KR games Veteran is the only difficulty that offers any resistance), and there are several small improvements and changes from the previous two (very similar) games in the series. The bottom line is that games the quality of Orcs Must Die 1/2 and all 3 Kingdom Rush games just aren't that common in the tower defense genre. I've put over 400 hours into both the original KR and KRF and I'm sure I'll put that kind of time into Origins eventually. It's great fun with very much more of the same, and sometimes, when you're a huge fan of a series, that's all you want.

  'Kingdom Rush Origins' is the third game of the 'Kingdom Rush' tower defence game series. Like it's predecessors, it's a port from iOS and Android, but that does not diminish the quality of the game. It's a very enjoyable, colourful, comic style, strategy game that's not to be missed if you like tower defence games. Pros: - cute comic style - traditional path-based tower defence game - 16 different heroes with different abilities and special attacks - 45 types of enemies - 22 maps/levels - maps can change in the middle of the action when enemies create new paths - challenging - cool boss enemies that can make your whole defence setup worthless - three difficulty levels plus Iron and Heroic difficulty with completely different waves of enemies - activate additional defenders - surface attacks - complex combination of towers with different special abilities - looks and plays like the original - yes, that's a good thing! - addictive - maps contain secrets with lots of Easter eggs - upgradeable towers base values - upgradeable heroes base values - no glitches, no bugs - difficulty can be changed any time Cons: - a single incredibly difficult achievement (I am pretty sure the developers wanted us to throw 100 burning nuts, not 1000!) - no fast forward

  The Best way to start 2019! OMG This Game is so Great -The atmosphere is so relaxing lush green atmosphere. (If you feel down, just play this game for a few minutes and you feel so much better). -Awesome Graphics -New Heroes with special abilities -Tons of hours of content -Easier than the Initial Kingdom rush. This game is the best of the series so far Thank you devs!

  As a game, it is fine enough. Nothing really new, more of the old with different coating, however more going on in terms of references. So why the thumbs down? Because the devs are missing the same things again. Still can't open bestiary in combat. Still no fast forward, which is even more ridiculous than before, given that even early maps have many and large waves. Still can't review current ability/skill ranks from towers or heroes, neither in game nor on the world map. Still can't actually control your heroes and often enough they will fling an instakill single-attack into a mass of enemies, because they wasted their AOE on a single creep. That has been a problem since they introduced heroes and still is. Same with special tower abilities. Still, tower stats are worded and not shown. "bad, moderate or good" is not exactly something to base a decision upon when each instance costs 300 gold without any way to guess what it means in detail. Does it mean 1, 2 or 3 percent? 5, 10 or 15 percent? It's just a joke. Still too much RNG for a TD. Tower hits can miss, special abilities are wasted, and essentially your towers and heroes are going full r.tard. And instead of optimising your setup, the game, especially in the beginning, builds mostly on tedious micromanagement of heroes and barracks, which is a poor choice in any TD, imo. Some maps are awfully gimmicky and it seems the devs could only make them challenging by spawning enemies that get an invul buff, walk out of bounds and re-enter behind your last tower. Good luck if that wasn't a barrack. And last but not least, tower balance is off. As soon as you unlock certain towers, you can play the game mostly with only two tower types for the largest part as they bring everything to the table you need to win easily. All in all? No real improvement here.

  I love the Kingdom Rush games so much. They are well balanced tower defense games, and I couldn't wait to throw a little money on the developers again. Also, the humour is great!

  Play Frontiers first, IMO. I think that's the best KR game - if you like that and want more, then play this. (or if you REALLY like the asthetic of this maybe go for this first, but I dunno - I found the gameplay of this to be weaker)

  Despite 2 facts - that the previous games are much better, and that this one costs even more than 2 of those - i still do recommend this game and here is why: 1 - You don't have very much good Tower Defence games on steam and this one works very good. 2 - If you never played TD before - this prequel is good to start with because it's easier than it's ancestors. 3 - If we buy more Ironhide games here on PC - they will spend more time and bring us more high-quality content. From the gaming point of view, this game offers good graphics, several hours of gameplay and pretty wide range of difficulty (from "total noob" to "above average")

  Wait until February and the full release. Gameplay is as good as ever, but right now this is half a game. ---------------------------- UPDATE: The bonus levels weren't especially worth waiting for; they're more of the same. [b]But[/b] the game is good, and now that all the levels have been released it is worth your money as a whole package. I would now call this game Recommended, but Steam would revoke all my upvotes if I changed the rating. Which is fine - Ironhide deserves the negative vote on their record for jerking their customers around with this totally arbitrary drip feed release schedule. I'm certainly not going to buy another Ironhide product on release day.

You have 4 types of towers and a path. You need to build/upgrade towers, use abilities and control a hero to not let enemies reach the end of a path. As a fan of TD game and KR series I expected something new in the Chapter 3. New mechanics and etc. Devs did just the same game with slightly another towers in another settings. The only major thing added was a third spell (each hero gives brings an unique spell to the battle field). So basically, you don't play KR 3, you play Season 3 of KR. Same design, same gameplay in another decorations. So, if you are OK with it, buy this title. I liked the visual part of the game a lot. World map is amazing, locations are great, diversity in enemy races is good.
