  Almost 2 hours in, and I can say it's shaping up to be the best one in the series yet. With 6 Completely original levels with some of the most creative anomalies yet! Without a doubt, if you liked any of the previous games, you're going to love this one. Too early to give it an exact rating, but it's positive 100% and definitely worth it.

  I’m On Observation Duty 5 is a spot-the-difference-game where you scrub through live CCTV-feeds and file reports whenever you see something spooky. That means everything from a mug or a shoe shifting around, to visual glitches and more supernatural stuff. The whole proceeding is very mechanical in nature, and can be summed up thusly: [i]You stare intensely at the screen for some time. Then it's game over.[/i] Apparently, no matter how hard you look, there’s an abundance of weirdness you haven’t spotted. That’s sort of fun. But it also underscores the fact that it’s a game as much about observation as it is pure repetition -- memorizing the often insanely detailed environments over several tries. There’s next to no interaction. All you do is look. Look at the details. Try to remember what one room looks like before you loop around and come back. You’ll start to second guess yourself -- often to a hilarious degree. [i]Wait, was that bathtub there earlier?[/i] Of course it was, stupid. It’s a bathroom. Keep looking. It sort of outplays itself once you’ve figured out the registry of tricks it's pulling from. Before that though, it’s a serviceable digression. But one that turns wholly forgettable once the novelty wears off.

  I think the title should be renamed to "Gas-lighting Yourself: The Game" I have never been more paranoid about something as small as a pencil moving .1 degree in my life! 10/10

  i know i have like no hours, but trust me on this, this game is great. i've spent days watching youtubers and streamers play it. when i was done with my wisdom tooth surgery, i watched this game. my mom watched this game. i bought the game specifically to play with her. it's a good game. buy it if you like puzzles and headaches /pos also, i have nowhere else to put this, so if you're like me, playing on the steamdeck and intensely in love with rigging up controls for games that don't need it, here are the coordinates for the different buttons in game so you don't have to manually use your mouse so much: left cam (1000,16000) right cam (31500,16000) report (30000, 30000)
