  Have you seen "The Cube" film? If you have, get this game! If you haven't, watch it, and then get this game! Cheap as chips and will earn its keep in under an hour.

  UPDATE SINCE GAME WAS UPDATED WITH MULTI-TRAP ROOMS; --------------------------------------------------------- Now that rooms have the potential for multiple traps, single player replay-ability has been improved a fair bit and just in general the game has more variety, i'm sure some people will find it gets dull still, but it has removed what I believe to be one of the biggest flaws of the game, which was that a room is guaranteed safe if you set off the trap on single-use traps. With this improvement alone, there's no longer any reason i can give why i wouldn't recommend buying it to give it a try as you can no longer be sure if that trap room was really just a trap room or also hides a few more traps when you step inside. I am personally looking forward to what traps they introduce into the game as development continues. ORIGINAL REVIEW ---------------------------------------------------------- Ever heard of the hit 1997 movie "Cube" (TM 1997)? No? Fair enough... Well its that but has a battle royale mode ontop. Solo will get dull pretty quick once you've seen all the traps if the concept isn't super appealing to you but if you can convince 4-9 friends to spend the money on it, you got yourself enough players to try out the huge room puzzles which will make it more fun, that, or ya know... the battle royale mode which has more effort put into it than probably should have been. Side Note: even if you don't buy the game, checkout the movies which have almost an identical concept... they're pretty top notch

  A game heavily inspired by the 1997 movie CUBE that is a noticeable improvement over its predecessor. Gameplay: You go from room to room, some rooms are traps, some are safe. Some trap rooms kill you instantly, some try to damage you. you can throw one of your shoes in the room to check, but if its an instant death room, you lose your shoe. Shoes are plentiful though so don't worry too much. There is also a battle royale type mode where you try to find the exit to the labyrinth while avoiding traps and other players. Graphics: Looks fine. The environments are generic but that's kind of the point. The character models are some stock Poser models but they serve no other purpose than to be mutilated so it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Sound: Stock sound effect screams as your fellow players or yourself die. A bumpin bass soundtrack in the menus. Horror: There is a certain dread found in having to enter a room because you've run out of boots to throw in. This horror is mitigated almost entirely in multiplayer, when it becomes a game of accusingly pointing at your friends as a room fills with skulls until they are dead. Conclusion: Plenty of fun in multiplayer but not built to last in single player. Not outright scary, but can definitely be tense at moments.

  You ever see that movie CUBE? It's like that. Pretty fun, but no one queues in Co-op, Solo isn't terrible tho.

  This game isn't bad. It's fun, if repetitive. The problem is that there are 15 people online right now, and the multiplayer is what makes it fun. Half-Dead 2 is... ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) ...completely dead.
