  Which games can say that they have been/are accepted on just about all gaming platforms/consoles? Pac-Man is one of them! A link that held Nintendo, CDI or Sega as equals. Whether more modern or more classic versions of the game are better than the others I leave it up to you, it is always pleasant to hear these recognizable wobwobwob sounds again. Fortunately, these more modern versions of the original game give us endless opportunities to break our high scores that we once achieved.   This is pac-man. one of the very best classics ever made. the game me, all of my cousin's and friends would turn on to play on sunday morning's with blueberry pancakes and a cappuccino. 10/10.

  This port stays true to the Arcade Cabinet game from the 90s... Avoid the ghosts, gather the Pac-Dots, drop ghosts with pellets, gather fruits!! I know, Pac-Man games are all weird like that. There's also a Save-State function and leaderboards! Challenge your friends, see if they can get a higher score than yours. 7/10 Pac-Man game from the 80s.

  Pac-Man is generally considered amongst the "must-play" mighty greats, and I'm no opposer of such opinion. Pac-Man is great! Fuck yeah! Puck-Man! This is maybe the most straightforward & direct ports of the Pac-Man arcade machine on the market for PC users. It's hardly any different. I can respect that. But that therefore means it comes alongside with all the goods & bads of such. Controls feel smooth & responsive. They have that "rough" & "bulldozer" feel to it that I feel many other Pac-Man ports & sequels kinda sorta lacks. It's always been super hard to describe. But you don't exactly feel like a racecar, but more-so a plower, y'know. However, sadly, the game sadly lacks input-buffering, which overall creates some rare tedious moment late-game with its faster stages. And it's also sadly one of those Pac-Man ports wherein Power Cookies have shorter span times calculated by the higher level you are on. Now, I've always been a harsh opposer of such. That won't change. I hate it. It's not fun. Which is why I more-so tend to play Pac-Man through fan-ports & other unofficial versions, as they tend to not have that, luckily. ...Which I suppose is a smooth segway into recommending The FVGP's Pac-Man -- it's my favourite Pac-Man port. It's sadly, however, a browser exclusive port. It has input buffering, consistent Power Cookies, and generally looks a lot cleaner & smoother. Its biggest downside, really, is the lack of cut-scenes in-between certain levels & how the lives-counter breaks on certain monitor ratios. Anyways, I apologize for the subliminal shoutout to FVGP's Pac-Man 🙏

  Conslusion

  It's Pac-Man through-n'-through. I can hardly complain! It feels good, it plays good; but it's hardly the best one on the market nowadays. Still, I cannot NOT recommend it.

  I used to play this game in actual arcade with a cabinent around it..sadly the way of the arcade and that type of play died thanks to mobile phones and home consoles. Still , this is the basic pac-man game. There is nothing wrong with it. It may be not to everyone's standards nowadays due to simplicity of graphics and such, still a great game. Also, be aware this does not support widescreens on pc, and uses the original artwork from the cabinents to fill in the other parts of the screen. The size is actually the size it is in the arcade. I do recommend playing it for nostalgia value and fun. If your into graphics only , avoid and get the championship editions sold on steam. This game is also great for young children as it is good old fashion clean arcade fun!

  1st of all I have to mention - you will find like 50 different Pac-Man games, and a lot of them maybe better than this one, or simply different but as enjoyable, yet ALL of them lack one simple thing - they are NOT that one classic pure original Pac-Man - and this one is released by Bandai Namco ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It's up to you to decide if you need this one in your library, or you want to buy a pack of various pac-man mods for the same price. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=832169900 +Visuals: Looks exactly as it was back in the days, juicy colors and a lot of video settings. +Soundwork: Authentic sounds and music, nothing to add. +Gameplay: In addition to the flawless port of the original game where you have: -Leaderboards: everyone who plays with default game settings participating in global leaderboards -Custom settings - lives, starting the level, bonus lives for better user experience. -Good party game - short game sessions, good for hot-seat session to challenge your friends :) -I find this PacMan like super hard, I don't know if it's my crooked hands, lack of reaction or casualty, but it's like super hard to advance to the levels above 5 because of how everything speeds up. +Steam achievements - a lot of them! -No steam cards - :( -Non-remappable controls - Personally I find the default controls enjoyable, yet in 2017 you may spend 5 minutes to add the remap feature to your game? If you loved it - buy it to get some nostalgia. If you are old af - buy it so your kids would know how you spend your fun times back in the days. If you never played it - this game is good for your old games collection, but if you just want to play PacMan, you may consider looking at all the other Pac-Man variations on steam.
