  Played the game for the tuirorial it was pretty crap..... The mechanics are bad. The visuals are bad. The designs are bad. The map size is bad. The trailers and store pictures are good. But the game is bad. I am sorry i wasted my money. Bad game

  This game is absolutely unacceptable. Terrible interface, terrible performance, terrible gameplay, terrible soundtrack. They didn't even include freaking graphic settings. YOU CAN'T EVEN CHANGE THE RESOLUTION. 0/10

  it's fun to play when it works - but you've just got to be lucky with your PC setup. my framerates chug with a fairly recent and high spec'd machine (GTX1070), but my friend with a GTX1080 gets to play it perfectly I can see the potential, if only they'd spent time perfecting it before launch it would've been a great game!

  This is an honest and independent opinion. I was put off buying this game for more than 4 years because of negative reviews. Finally got it today. Played it for about 6 hours straight. Played about 5 missions. I have noticed no problems - minor or major. Except, IF the game won't start, just regular tapping ENTER or ESC at the loading screen (Bit Composer) starts the game. I have found it to be fun and exciting. I am enjoying it very much. I enjoy switching between Helos and planes during a mission. Rating: 7/8 out of 10. Ps: I do not like reviewers who think they know what I would like or not like. Don't tell me not to buy a game. Give your honest review and let me decide to buy or not. I will edit this review in the future if anything needs to be added.

  This game has a number of issues that prevented me from enjoying it. 1. The background music is reminiscent of the movie Good Morning, Vietnam! This was a pleasant surprise and one I hadn't previously seen in an air combat game. The music fits. Unfortunately, there are only about 4 different songs to listen to the entire game. It got old fast and would have been less of an issue with basic music to act as white noise. 2. The AA uses pea shooters and they are the enemy you will face most of the time. You will take no damage from them unless you are hit by an RPG (which is very rare). On the flip side, the moment you engage in air combat - which happens once every 4 missions or so - you will find your planes are suddenly made of paper. It is not too difficult, just a notable contrast. 3. There are annoying rail shooter sections in a number of levels and the helicopter blades kick up dust to obscure half your screen so you never see what you are shooting at. Realistic? Sure, probably. But at the great expense of gameplay. 4. There is a bug preventing the squad leader from leveling up. You can see his rank go up in-mission, but his rank always resets when the next mission starts. As a result, my squad leader was an ensign in the last level while his wingman was a fleet admiral. 5. The level design is awful. You will spend a great deal of time watching the distance meter tick down as you go to or from mission objectives. Many levels in the third campaign involve picking up people and dropping them off elsewhere. This is a slow process, and the missions will ask you to repeat it up to 5 times back to back to back to back in the mission. Do it once or twice and that's enough, cool feature. After a certain point you are just going to think "wtf, how many times do I have to do this?" 6. So you beat the game... we will take your word for it. The "Vietnam Survivor" achievement does not pop. I even played through the campaign twice thinking I goofed up the first time. It is bugged and impossible to get. 7. The anti-war plot makes sense, but was predictable and plodding. I cannot recommend this one, even on sale.

  Game's bad, several levels straight up don't work. The missions are repetitive and unintuitive with the blandest of objectives and enemies. Seriously buy something else, it's not worth it at the slightest. Dosen't help some levels are straight up broken with no possibility of completion.

  an extremely awkward experience - albeit admittedly an extremely short one. Could absolutely not relate to it or get used to flight mechanics. While the earlier games in the series may have been goofy but all the more charming for it, this one's just... no fun at all. Good thing it was on sale - do not pay €15 for this!

  I can't recommend this game. Graphically it's very messy for something this recent. Controls wise it is likewise messed up, without much functionality for changing the axis of various manuevers. In the jets, C-123 etc, there isn't even an independent rudder/aileron control that I've found-so if you pull up then want to roll, it ends up sending you in some crazy direction of its own devising. (I've played it with mouse/keyboard and 360 controller; it's possible that it's better/more adjustable with a joystick but the game turned me off so much I didn't go to the trouble of plugging in my stick) The maps are tiny (so tiny that in a jet, I went from out of bounds to out of bounds in less than 10 seconds while trying to kill a MiG) and the voice acting is corny at best. I hoped that the helicopter mode would be better, but no. Clunky controls, no way to change rudder/attitude controls, massively sluggish yaw. No challenge in attack chopper so far-you sit back in your AH-1 and lob in rockets from way outside the range of the enemy. This game would have been good ten or fifteen years ago. As a 2013 title, noooo way. Definitely not worth $30; I would probably still regret this purchase if it was $10. Very disappointed.

  Story line is not good, could of been overlooked if Flight physics were more realistic. I would love to see more Vietnam war games because I am a Huey Fan but this one is just no good, If I could get a refund and return I would...

  This is an incredibly awful, horrible, terrible, no good, very bad game. I am mad as hell that I spent thirty bucks on this grognard of a game and can't get a refund. Don't be like me -- I hope you read the reviews first before buying.
