  I began this adventure and then had thoughts that I may not enjoy this game: but as I got into it and into the gameplay and pattern, I had a good time. It is quite different from the usual AHOG. It was easy to see the love put into the development. The HOs can be hard to see, they are so tiny, altho I rarely needed to use the hint. The hint is a huge help as it doesn't need charging. The game is very relaxing, easy-going and the puzzles are not challenging. I can recommend it.

  Mystery of Mortlake Mansion is definitely kicking it Old School, but I really liked this game. All the artwork is hand drawn, something you don't see much anymore, and although it may seem a bit repetitive, the story line is good, the game mechanics are well done (especially for 12 years ago), and if you play without the map, its quite challenging. It's got some GREAT puzzles: lots of Cat's Cradles (a personal favorite), one Lights On/Lights Off (which I'll rate as difficult), one Hanoi Towers, and the rest are fairly simple. You have to find crystals throughout the game and place them in the proper panels. This allows you to have two views of each room - a normal view and a "shadow" view. There are also diary notes to find and a couple of potions to brew. All in all, a most enjoyable venture into an old mansion that kept me busy quite a few hours!

  More challenging than I thought it would be. Intriguing/amusing back story, I love the graphics and aesthetic .
