  Works great on Steam Deck. Can't say much about the overall game yet, but the controls are responsive and art style is cool!

  The game looks good. My biggest complaint about the game is the controls. they are unresponsive an very stiff feeling, and unfortanitly that makes the game unplayable for me. << REFUNDED >> I will keep an eye out for updates hoping to see a fix, if so then i will repurchases the game

  It is a very very very straightforward Metroidvania. Its simple, good, solid fun platforming with, simple, good, solid fun combat. The game seems to be a bit on the shorter-end, so maybe this should be on a smaller pricepoint. Nonetheless, I simply cannot give this a bad review; it truly does show polish and understanding of what makes metroidvanias tick. It will not be your new Hollow Knight, but it can definitely be a new Metroidvania to enjoy if you are a fan of the genre!

  I have been looking for a game to scratch the metroidvania itch since Hollow Knight, and this does the trick! Gives strong DS Castlevania vibes. Would recommend.

  Seemed like a cool game when watching but there's a bunch of smallish things making it not so cool when playing - Controls. Can't change confirm button from enter and it just makes menuing such a pain. Also couldn't rebind hook for some reason. - Minimum jump height is way too high (much higher than the regular ledges) - There was a campfire room where the camera wasn't constrained (could see out of bounds beyond the loading zones), this to me indicates poor playtesting - No in-game option to disable vsync, yuck Other than that seems cool so worth giving it a try at least, maybe you won't find these flaws as damning as I did

  <*>one of the achievements is bugged and not able to be unlocked, meaning its impossible to get 100% on the game - thats always a lovely thing <*>the sound design is awful, most effects are just stock sounds that really take you out of the immersion <*>while the visuals are pretty good at times, the game still feels like that old offbrand nintendo controller you gave to the friend you didnt like back in the day. i cant explain it, it just feels uncanny <*>no auto-saving at bonfires, you have to manually save and when you die you lose everything and have to reload <*>you can't rebind the secondary weapon (pressing up + attack is default) which is awful, you will constantly use up your charges by accident <*>picked up items automatically get equipped and theres nothing you can do about it <*>i will never understand why gamedevs think its a good idea to have your character take massive amounts of damage when just touching the hitbox of an enemy <*>while the shield is more useful than in most other games its still seemingly completely random which attacks you can block and which you cannot - sad <*>balancing is horrible, magic is way too strong, if you put enough points into wisdom you will basically have infinite mana, and ranged attacks (wand spell attack) are objectively superior to melee. (monsters basically have no ranged AI) <*>dodging has no i-frames <*>after running the game for 10 hours you will get random freezes and gpu usage spikes, really weird, restarting the game helps tho <*>when leveling up you can distribute skillpoints in dark souls fashion. (strength, dexterity, wisdom and vitality) these stats cap out at 50 tho, and most of the time at least 1 or 2 of them are entirely useless for your build, meaning that leveling will stop feeling rewarding at a certain point in the game <*>item upgrades are static and linear. every sword gets +3 to damage, every armor gets +1 to defense, every wand gets +2 to magic damage. considering shooting magic projectiles with your wand costs mana depending on the wand its completely stupid to use any of the endgame weapons when your projectile deals 90 damage for 38 mana compared to your starting wand dealing 80 damage for 12 mana

  Great little indie game. Think Castlevaina: Symphony of the Night with a lovecraftian setting. Beautiful pixel art. RPG leveling, 2D metroidvainia exploration. Fun combat variety of weapons and sub weapons to mix and match. Works great on Steam deck!! Update: Warning bug encountered!!!!! There is an arena challenge late in the game(not required to finish the game,but for a 100% run it is) and it can be glitched like mine. Reloading the save file does not fix it. About two rounds in the enemies instead of de-spawning sit on the screen and walk back and fourth. You cant hit them and they cant hit you. and You are stuck with no way out and have to reload your last save. Happens every single time for me now and I can not complete the challenge. Hopefully this bug is addressed in a patch. Otherwise amazing little gem of a game.

  Get this game! Their website says that this is a love letter to Castlevania with modern elements and it did not disappoint! 1. Good combat system 2. Grinding for levels is easy 3. You can build your stats depending on your preferred style of combat - Str, Dex, or Int 4. Farming items for equipment upgrade and for potion creations once you get to a certain point. 5. Character customization 6. Metroidvania!

  this game is clunky from start to finish but for some reason I did finish it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i wish i could give this a 50/50 rating cause its not categorically bad but it doesnt do anything new or interesting if you really really want to just mindlessly platform through 5-10 hours of content then here you go. otherwise replaying SOTN for the 1000th time is free and just as enjoyable
