  I cannot even begin to try and estimate how many hours I invested into Black Hawk Down and how much fun I had... There were multiple game modes including; Deathmatch, Teamdeath match, capture the flag, and team king of the hill (might have been plain king of the hill would have to load it up to check). The game play was amazing, your skill level paid off, with multiple classes ---> gunner, cqb, medic, and sniper... all bringing something unique and useful to your team this was a game that required teamwork. But also a game that you could carry your team if you were a good enough shot and player! This was an FPS with close quarter maps and open maps... that required skill, compensation for recoil, and above all more teamwork. An added feature was the ability to lean that has disappeared in modern fps which typically was a sign of a better player. (Being able to lean left and right while moving side to side and maintaining your accuracy would put you far above the competition). This game and Novalogics Joint Operations series are by far my most favorite and memorable FPS games... it is uncomparable to modern FPS and which Novalogic did not just "vanish". To bad they don't make it like this anymore (sure everyone that actually played this game agrees).

  Back when I was young, I pirated this game, I have no idea how, but I did. Eventually, I started playing it. I started it up, loaded the first mission I wanted to try, it was a mission where you started in a helicopter. Back then, that was already exciting for me, because the computer I played on couldn't handle any of the COD, Battlefield, CS etc. titles. So this was huge, it could handle it, and my eyes didn't water from seeing low FPS. But I was close to, it was beautiful, even though it was only sand. And then we landed, and guess what. We could go out of the helicopter. I did, and I got my gun out. I could shoot. I shot my teammates. Bad mistake, had to restart again. I did, and this time I shot them once more, hoping for better results. Same thing happened, decided that, okay, they won't hurt me, for now. We went on to run up to a village. The civilians, they threw rocks at me, while the terrorists shot at me. The first couple of times, I shot the civilians, thinking they were trying to kill me. I realized that they just hated the fact that I was there. And accepted it. I then proceeded into the large village. In the middle of the end was our destination. The warehouse. Thought that was it, best 30 minutes of my life. I was ready to go onto the internet and find more games I could play, but to my surprise, this game delivered again. We weren't close to done. We were going to go through a minefield. Used 2 hours trying to do it. At last I did. And exited the game. Never found the map, never found out if I saved. One day, I'll find it. One day I'll finish that mission. One day. 10/10

  The Delta Force series was leading games in their time and the long range game play and realistic weapons was ahead of its time. Very nostalgic to play these games again.

  The minefield mission used to give me nightmares when I was a kid. The pc port of this game lacks many of the awesome features present in the ps2 version. I felt the need to replay this game bc Minneapolis is literally becoming a Somalia currently.
