  Played the PTB for a solid while, clown is fun and he's an interesting killer who isn't top 3 but still plays effective as FUCK. Basically, he's a mix of doctor and huntress and is super good at slowing/herding survivors where you want them to go. His perks aren't that bad, and doesn't rely on addons as he did in the PTB. Also, he laughs everytime he hits a survivor [strike] which as a former doctor main is an instabuy for me [/strike] and his character is very well done. As said before, his perks are good! Not necessary a la BBQ or Nurses, but good. Bamboozle and PGTW are worth picking up in their own right for interesting and fun perks. Kate Denson is a nice survivor: I like the VO (even though her screams pierce through the sound barrier) and her overall aesthetic and appearance is well done. My only problem about her is that her perks are kinda meh or niche, as they're either situational, or better suit beginners. If they buffed her wiggle perk (close hooks are invisible by aura and wiggle effects are greatly increased), it could be very well used and should be picked up. Otherwise, you're not really missing out if you choose to wait for em on the Shrine. New map is god-tier. I'm in love with it. It's like a mini-crotus-prenn with a little circus carny area. Super cool to be in and super fun to play in. Fuck the basement though. Overall, with the free update (which added and improved on so much new stuff), this chapter is way better than the SAW chapter and one of the best chapters to come our way since the huntress came out. I think this game is going in the right direction, and hopefully this sets a precedent for future chapters. If you have the cash, give it a go a la your personal preference.

  With a loud grunt, the last bottle of The Afterpiece Tonic flew from the Clown's sausage-thick fingers, crashing between the wounded survivor with the pink pigtails, and the one with the dreadlocks who was still frantically bandaging her. They squealed in distress as the pink cloud of chemical fumes engulfed them, like the rubes at the carnival used to when startled by his magic tricks. As they split up and fled blindly into the night, coughing and stumbling, he gave chase yet again. He cackled like a dying hyena as he struck down his quarry and slammed her onto the hook for the third time, and soon the pink-haired girl was no more. But as he gloated, he heard the last of the portable generators roar to life, and the other three survivors escaped into the Fog. As he stomped away from the exit gate, the world around him dissolved like it always did. All color and sound streaming away into the ether, like a traveling show being torn down and packed up for the road. The Entity was not "displeased" this time, but neither was it satisfied. In the sound of wind through dead leaves, it spoke to him. [i]You can do better.[/i] "I got one of 'em." [i]Three escaped my grasp. That won't do.[/i] "What about that time I got all four of 'em? You even called me 'adept' or something. That was a swell racket." [i]That was long ago. You're getting lazy.[/i] "You knew I was a bum when you hired me." [i]A clown should at least be funny.[/i] "Y'know what's funny? These mopes always tryin' to save each other, like that matters here." [i]You could learn much from them.[/i] "Wait, what?" [i]You stabbed, poisoned, and tortured them. They never gave up. If you showed the same devotion to me that they showed one another tonight, I would not need to speak to you.[/i] "Yeah, sure." [i]She saved many from my clutches. I forgive her this. It is her place in my world. Yours is to kill without mercy.[/i] "And what good did that do her in the end? What's the point?" [i]I feed on hope. Not just theirs.[/i] "A man-eatin' monster preachin' about hope. Now that's comedy." [i]You chose this path. I made you immortal, and I expect you to fulfill your part of our bargain.[/i] "Chose? Ha! No offense, Boss, but you don't know squat about bein' human." [i]You liked making people laugh at the circus. Yet you chose to make them cry.[/i] As he walked, the Clown pulled an empty bottle from one sleeve, and a stopper from the other. (There was indeed nothing up his sleeves, but whenever he needed these, there were always more.) "That was my job. They paid a few bucks for some cheap laughs. It was all fake." [i]Their joy was real. You were like them once. You could have filled your life with friends and family, not feathers and fingers.[/i] With the hilt of his folding knife, he struck the stopper home, shutting it tight. Gently swirling the bottle, he watched it fill with Tonic. "Those phonies just would've turned on me someday. They always do. No thanks." [i]Your father would be ashamed.[/i] The bottle sloshed and gurgled as the Clown threw his hands up. "You're just like him! Nothing's ever good enough! Everything's a fiddle, a scam, it's all rigged! How can they not know the fix is in? I don't get how nobody gets that!" [i]She did.[/i] The Clown felt a moment of clarity, like he'd just gotten the punchline to a wonderful joke. But his painted scowl was unmoved, and his terrible laugh cowered in his chest. "Tough crowd tonight. There's always more suckers. I'll knock 'em dead next time." [i]See that you do.[/i] The Fog was silent once more. After marching for what seemed like forever, the Clown found a tree stump, and sat awkwardly. There was no true sleep here, and perhaps no true death; only a recurring violent nightmare, full of fresh faces that seemed strangely familiar every time. Resting his chin on his fist, he thought long and hard about the words of the Entity. From the pockets of his costume, he pulled a cigar, a flask of rotgut, and a cold, greasy hamburger. He savored every bite of the awful sandwich, staring at the moon through puffy rings of acrid smoke. As he finished his dinner in peaceful solitude, he raised his flask just before the last sip. "GG, kiddo." He closed his eyes, and waited until he was needed again.

  Clown is pretty good after the rework. His perks are all great in general (Pop Goes The Weasel being an essential perk to me). Kate's perks are kind of meh, but Windows Of Opportunity I've found REALLY helps with planning ahead. Kate is also pretty good for stealth with the right cosmetics.
