  First thought: Holy shit, this looks amazing. I NEED THIS! After playing and exploring for about an hour in SP: Jesus fucking christ, what a huge disappointment. You seriously charge money for this? It's a tiny mod-pack consisting of ONE set of clothes and a few new items, a small map and a handful of new dinos. Outrageous fucking rip-off. If I could refund this, I'd do it in a heartbeat. YOU'LL BE BETTER OFF USING THE WORKSHOP! DON'T BUY THIS!

  So far, I must say that I am disappointed. The Ark devs still do not seem to understand how to properly optimize their game. The new expansion runs at least 10-20 fps lower than The Center (A modder created map which is highly optimized). That being said, Ark is one of my favorite games of all time. Buyer beware: I would not reccommend purchasing this DC unitl the devs learn how to optimize their product. Edit: My point is simply that a modder has created a larger and more detailed map than the devs have AND has optimized it more effectively. Generally, I get 10-20 more fps with high settings on The Center than The Island. This account is shared by prominent YouTubers who feature this game as the bulkhead of their channels as well. If devs see it fit to charge more money for a new map and dinos in the Scorched Earth DLC, I would think that it would be reasonable to expect that they would properly optimize it. This game has been in alpha for a long time now and STILL has optimization issues. It is my opinion that releasing an extensive DLC such as this with poor optimization is a bit ridiculous (especially taking into account that, while certainly beautiful in a graphical sense, the map is ONLY desert with relatively little change between biomes or areas). That being said, the DLC is very cool and surely worth the money and this game altogether is packed with content. I simply caution potential buyers to hold onto their money until the developers optimize their game properly.

  So not only does wildcard release paid dlc before they finish their game, but you cant even play it, servers are still being worked on, and to top it all off it wont install the dlc for me? paid for absolute shit. UPDATE: Got it to install, however no servers are currently up, and again point stands they released this paid DLC without it being ready, they pushed back the update for the new dinos, and they pretty much shit on every customer they have. this was an obvious cash grab to make up for the wildcard getting the shit sued out of them for the head of developement breaching his contract with another company. DO NOT TRUST WILDCARD UNTIL THEY PROVE THEMSELVES TRUSTWORTHY.
