A Girls Fabric Face Funciones

A brutal murder has taken place in an old home located in SattleWen. Three girls have been brutally murdered in the home, and police call it “The most violent crime to ever happen in this city”. Young Anna, aged 16 is intrigued by what has happened, and has decided to investigate the house. Upon arriving at the old abandoned premises, Anna sets up two cameras, and begins to investigate the home to hopefully gather any data that may prove of some importance. Unfortunately, nothing quite seemed right. After learning about the terrifying things that have been going on this whole time, Anna determines that nothing was as it has appeared to be. In the end, a horrible truth is revealed, and an important decision must be made. What is really going on with the case known as “The girls with the fabric face”?

At this point in time, I can finally say with confidence that the game is complete! And quite good at that. After the massive wreck of Minds Eyes, I was able to gather quite a nice amount of input from a lot of players who have given me suggestions, complaints, and support in creating A Girls Fabric Face. After working for quite a long time, I believe I can say with confidence that this game is a “Proper” horror game. In this game, I focused far more on suspense and adventure than anything else (Aside form the overall story); and I believe that everything flowed very well.

Based on many suggestions and complaints, here are the major differences with this game in comparison to Minds Eyes:

- Added Achievements (9 in total)

- Substantially reduced wandering

- Substantially increased player interaction

- 4 different endings

- Greater performance, visuals, and overall gameplay

- A very immersive environment that will keep you wondering

- A few secrets to the game & a wonderful little Easter egg :)

All and all, I believe that this game turned out a success in my eyes. I have been developing for roughly 5-6 years, and to this date, I can confidently say, this is my best title yet; and I hope you all feel the same way.

As for future involvement with this game, my plan is to involve virtual reality support, and mobile support; but those will come depending on the success of the Windows launch; more information on that later.

To end this long talk, I just want to say thank you to all my supporters! And thank you to everyone that has downloaded this game. I truly do hope you find it enjoyable, and that you solve all 4 endings.

Once again, thank you all and happy gaming! 

** Please note that this game is to be played during a ONE time sitting. The game cannot be saved. The estimated gameplay time is 30 – 45min, and roughly 2+ hours to achieve all endings, and solve all puzzles, thus achieving all achievements. Best of luck! Feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.

*** Also please note that this game contains flashing light. It is also strongly recommended that NO ONE with any heart conditions, anxiety, stroke, seizure or anything of the sort play this game; this game is extremely high on suspense, and does include scares which will increase heart rate, and include a sense of uncomfortably. By playing this game, you acknowledge that you are playing at your own risk.***

Best regards, Stan.T

So this is the developer Stanislaw Truchowski's second game, his first one being a free game from 2016 known as Mind's Eye. To be honest, I really did not like Mind's Eye that much, I thought every sequence in that game had a flaw and it took so many missteps that it just wasn't enjoyable. Mind's Eye had so many problems with it that I could sit down writing an essay on it, but there was a few kind of interesting things tucked away in it especially for the guy's first game though. So when I started up his second game release and first commercial one, A Girls Fabric Face, I didn't have my hopes up that high. However, to my surprise this game was a real little gem, a HUGE improvement over Mind's Eye, and more so A Girls Fabric Face did some interesting things I haven't seen very often in the horror scene. It's kind of a paranormal investigation horror game, you play as a girl coming to a worn-down house, you carry a camera with you as you go and set-up a few other cameras and a place to rest as well. Your goal is to find paranormal happenings and capture it, though your camera has a charge of how much it can record at once and you have a battery life on the camera, but a mechanic I actually ended up liking while I hate this sort of thing in most horror games as the environments are small enough and there's several 'charge stations' you set-up around the place which has unlimited charges to get you back to 100% battery life rather than finding finite batteries. Due to their stationary nature, this mechanic mostly lead to you going to certain parts of the house more often (which as the house wasn't that big, wasn't really tedious and more so created opportunities for things to happen on your small trek to it rather than a hassle), which ended up being an okay addition rather than an annoyance. The game's biggest strength comes through its subtlety, keeping a few interesting mechanics balanced, and some atmospheric imagery and exploration. It has some surprisingly well done subtle scares, there are a few minor jump scares but they happen to be the good kind I feel with some good build-up or having an affect on the world rather than being hollow or empty, plus with the paranormal recording function of the game it adds a little meat to them sort of like the 'passerby ghost' scenes in Fatal Frame you can capture. You might notice in the screenshots on the store page there's "Paranormal Findings" percentage, and there's more than 100% to capture as I found but basically getting your percentage up unlocks certain drawers and cabinets in the house with some additional stuff to uncover. Kind of a neat way to handle it, and it leads to not punishing the player for being bad at capturing stuff but giving some extra incentive to do so to unlock some small things. Most of the game you're in full control and explore as some increasingly surreal and unusual things begin to happen as you solve some light puzzles. Once you've done with your objectives you can go rest, and when you rest you control the green stationary nightlight cameras you set up, and switch between them looking for paranormal happenings and clues to what to do or what's changed overnight. It allows some good chances to get more paranormal happenings and leads to some intuitive hinting systems. I don't want to spoil too much, but this game does work due to some well-executed scenes and the house itself being interesting to explore. The game also has four different endings to obtain based on some things you can do in game, so that's neat. I did have a few quibbles with it. So the game isn't that long, but it actually does not have a save system, so you have to play it in one go. This isn't too much of a problem as it should only take an hour or two to get through the game your first time, but I did run into one bug where I got stuck by my character accidentally standing up in a crawl space and getting stuck in the ceiling leading me to starting all over, but in the end knowing what to do it didn't take too long to get caught up to where I was and I found some interesting differences between runs by restarting it then. My only other kind of complaint is while the story isn't all that bad, I feel some elements of it aren't implemented well, and I feel like the very end of the game isn't as interesting as the rest of it, but it's brief so whatever. I do think this sort of set-up could be very interesting in a more open-ended format. In the end despite some slight differences you can do and the game not being a linear path, what you need to do to progress is rather linear, and though I enjoyed the game I feel it could've been better suited for some open exploration and allowing the player to do several different things at their own pace like a few moments in the game rather than most of it being in the end a rather linear affair. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by the title and some parts of it have stuck with me a few days later, and I'm now interested to see what this developer does in the future, so consider me a fan of this one. It's definitely worth a try if you like some atmospheric paranormal investigation stuff.

This game started off pretty good in my opinion. I really liked the idea of trying to capture paranormal events on your camera. Exploring the house after witnessing actitivity on your night cams makes for some intense gameplay. I do wish their was one extra camera during the night cam parts. The game felt a little lacking with only being able to switch between 2 cameras. I mean just set up a camera in the kitchen or a bathroom, I would of felt more urgency to switch cams faster. I also seemed to have a reoccuring bug of not being able to switch cameras. I played the game twice and it happened both times. This obviously needs to be fixed and kind of ruined the experience for me. The atmosphere was creepy, unnerving and had me feeling a little on edge. The fact that I had to react fast to capture footage added to this very well. The puzzles were simple but not completely obvious. I really liked the game up until the looping hallway. This is where the game lost me honestly. I would try to film things thinking its was paranormal findings but I wouldn't get anything from it. In fact the first time I played this I ran out of battery in the basement "maze". I couldn't find my way through the darkness and had to restart. Lights were falling, ghost girls were moving and none of it registered as paranormal. I really didn't like this part at all. I believe I had a similiar issue with your first game "Mind's Eye". I enjoyed that game up until the computer maze section. Overrall I really liked the idea here and the first part of this game. The camera bugs and looping hallway kind of killed the game for me. I really couldn't say I would recommend this game. I think you're a good game designer though and have a lot of potential to really impress me with your next game. I will be watching out for other games from you. Cheers

Wow! If you're a fan of horror games and don't have any weird hang ups about Unity, this is definitely a title to check out. I had no idea what I was getting into and I honestly hated it at first because I tried to rush around and didn't really take a couple minutes to learn the game. Once I had a bit more patience with it, I found it to be a lot of fun and I also enjoyed the little story. It was a little awkward until I got the hang of the way things worked but overall I enjoyed it and felt like I got my money's worth. I look forward to hopefully seeing more games like this from these Devs. My only complaint is that the voice over didn't really jive with me. It wasn't poor acting or reading or anything. Just something about it kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe that's not a bad thing? I mean, it is a horror game after all. :)

Edit: ugh. I hate it when a game gives such a bad first impression at start that I immediately wanted to (and did) give it a thumbs down. After playing/surviving the game once, and also concidering the price and that it was made by one guy... yeah, allright. It was spooky, a bit cheesy and also still a bit fun. Got one of the endings and selecting another one was an easy option. Not sure how to get four endings in total though, so there is yet some puzzle to be solved. Changing the review to posive. But keep in mind it has some issues. Don't let the battery run out and be aware you HAVE to sit through in one session. Expect playtime for first run to be around an hour, not 30..45 minutes as mentioned on the store page. Original review: A creepy atmosphere, and for a single developer's first game, it's *technically* not bad. The execution however, is not what I hoped for. On the first puzzle, there's already a false or at least misleading hint. So you might think you are doing something wrong, while instead the hint itself is partially incorrect. There's also an extremely fast draining battery for your camera, which is also your light source. And if that one goes out, a lot of areas become pitch black, like literally black, so you can't see anything. No save option either, so if you don't have time to finish it, or you get in the situation as described above, you have to alt-F4 the game and start over again from scratch next time.

I'm extremely happy this game kept calling me back. Having read reviews I made sure to keep my camera charged and I figured out I could look through my invetory while the charger did its thing, also I could look around. This game is slower paced than some and I got stumped a few times (plus I missed a ton of stuff according to my invetory) but I really enjoyed myself. There are four possible endings, and it honestly took me about an hour on my first playthrough. https://youtu.be/hF5XFQg3ehI

Pros: Cheap, good atmosphere with little reliance on cheap jumpscares (Really, it builds up atmosphere like a horror game should) Cons: Voice acting, too short for multiple endings to really feel important. I would still recommend this game, especially if its on sale.

A Girl's Fabric Face: 8/10 Great little game! There are at least 2 different endings here, though I suspect there may be more than that. I've only gotten one so far, but I genuinely enjoyed it. The jumpscares are there, but few and far between. The game is much more concerned with creating a dreadful atmosphere, and I appreciate that in a horror game. It's clear the developer spent a lot of time making this game look as good as it does! The only aspect that I dislike is the lack of a save system. It seems like it wouldn't be too hard to implement one, especially at the "rest points". However, I think the lack of saving was a conscious choice by the developer who wants players to get the most out of the game by playing it all through in one sitting. That said, it took me about 30 minutes for my first playthrough, for anyone wondering what they are getting into! For a few bucks, this game is definitely worth the time, all said.

Please do not buy this game!! I got fooled into buying it cause it seemed to have so many good reviews, but that was just a cruel trap to steal 1 hour of my short life. The lack of apostrophe on the name should had been a clue on what this actually was... After playing this developer`s first technical demo that he called an "experimental game", which he himself refers to as a "massive wreck"..I checked out their developer page, see if they had improved at all. This game claims to be a massive improvement from that, and in some ways it is. But dung with a few air fresheners on it is still dung. I apologise if that is a bit harsh to the developer, but I want to believe that they are not lying about wanting to improve, therefore I must be honest. -The developer says this game greatly reduced all the amount you spent just waiting around or just wandering around the same 4 boring rooms, but you are still just mostly wandering the same 4 boring rooms, only this time you got an "Objective" list that pretty much just tells you to wander around the same 4 boring rooms..so not much improvement there. -The only person who would ever feel scared playing this game, is a very young child. Nothing really scary ever happens, just like so many badly made horror games, it tries to scare you by using random noises or sometimes something will pop up for a second. -You got a camcorder which is also your source of light, the problem is that pressing record drains the battery extremely fast, and nothing really happens in the whole game to warrant this mechanic, sure there are a few parts where you can "record" a jumpscare but mostly its useless. Now here is the problem, as I mentioned its also your source of light, and its constantly draining, if you run out of energy you are left completely in the dark and may as well restart over, depending where you are in the map, and there is no real pause button, pressing ESC opens up a menu that would usually pause the game for any other game, but it does not. On my playtrhough, I went to take a quick leak and by the time I was back the battery was completely dead and all I had in front of me was complete darkness. So you constantly need to go to this "charge station" and hold a button for a bit till it charges... even if the battery is at 90% you still wait the same amount of time as if it was 0%. Also aside from pressing Record draining you battery fast, there is a separate "Charge" meter for some reason that makes it so that you can only record for a few seconds anyways... makes no sense. -The story is mind-numblingly stupid, and its all explained to you anyways on the last few minutes. It claims to have "multiple endings" but my god... you have to be completely bored to want to replay this disaster. And they boil down to pressing 1 or 2 at the end of the game or collecting the few items the game has laying around...but they are irrelevant in the end since the story is so terrible and obviously so are the endings. This game sells for 3.5$ CND (luckily I got it on sale for less than a dollar) and that is not okay. Truly... this developer needs to give this game for free but preferably he should not have posted this at all. This belongs on itch.io... not posted here as a full steam release.

I like it. It's worth a try if you're into horror :) - good story - creepy atmosphere - achievements - four different endings

Overall this is a solid first person horror game. It won't last you very long though, maybe an hour at best. Also, some controls aren't shown to you (presumably this will be fixed soon) - i - inventory e - use (notes/doors) It's nothing incredibly new or revolutionary, the puzzles are basic and easy, but I found the story intriguing, a lot of the scares worked well and ultimately I left the experience very satisfied. The more you explore and the more you find, the more you'll understand. Personally, I preferred this over Mind's Eyes (Stanislaw Truchowski's previous work). Good stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEgv5sw97WU
