  I'm on the 4th chapter out of 6, it's a strange fantasy story but entertaining. Not an overwhelming amount of nudity or sex scenes, and the choices the game presents you doesn't seem to change the story nor does it seem to affect how the characters react to you so it's a pretty linear game. The character renders are high quality and beautiful models. Writing isn't terrible. It's worth the money because it's filled with beautiful women and the story is interesting.

Even though there are tons of choices, more than you can hold in the 54 saved game slots, most of the choices do not have a large impact on the story. The game is worth the purchase for the Gallery alone. [h1]Story[/h1] You (main character name customizable) are the son of a farmer in a small town. You live with your father and a girl your father took in who is about your age. You have started having dreams about a mermaid and a woman on a throne telling you to pick up a sword and become a hero. Up until now most of the town, especially the women, haven't paid much attention to you. That's about to change. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] Love Season could have been called the Horndog Farmer's Son. This is the first season of the game, with an additional season being promised at the end. There are six "chapters" to the game. However, the story is pretty much continuous. The adult content picks up later in the game as the main character develops into the man he's going to be. The early content is not as frequent as a lot of character building is being done. There are no issues with the English text of this game. I saw one formatting issue, but that was all. [h1]The Gallery[/h1] The Gallery is impressive. There are more pictures that I'm willing to count, additional pictures there are not currently in the game, and a "bonus comic" book. [h1]Final Verdict[/h1] I recommend this game. The choices are more of what you will see than how will the story go. The Gallery alone is worth the price of admission.   TLDR at bottem Like many of the worst of this genre the game breaks immersion by removing player agency. The writing is adequate and this could have been a good experience if the player were not given false choices. For example the player is given several options to clearly define whether or not the MC wants a romantic or platonic relationship with the best friend archetype. Then player agency is taken away to force a scene with the best friend with no explanation as to why agency was removed. Another example is taking the sister archetype on a quest. The player is given the choice of refusing to take her with, MuseX wants the sister archetype on the quest so the player choice is immediately overridden, clearly demonstrating that player choices have no meaning. If you are an aspiring developer it is incumbent upon you to remember that good VN's remove player choice to focus on story creating an enjoyable passive experience or give the player meaningful choices that allow the player to feel like they are directing the story. TLDR; Full of illusory player choices, renders and writing are just adequate. Love Season fails because MuseX does not understand why choice slides exist in VN's.

  Love Season... I like it. It's not perfect, but it's good. The story is completely different than anything else you will find and is interesting. I don't have any regrets about buying it and will buy the sequel when it is released. My only issue with the game is that while it appears to be somewhat medieval/fantasy based; goblins, mermaids, etc..., the girls have lacy underwear (I can forgive that) but there are beach scenes where they have a beach ball, bikinis and beach towels?!? Come on guys, keep it consistent. There are better AVNs out there, but there are definitely worse. Once you're finished with College Kings, Being a D*k, City of Broken Dreamers, Red Falls, Sisterly Lust, Avalon, Lust Theory, Bad Memories, and Picture Perfect, and Summer With Mia, you should check Love Season out.

  Too much buildup for not enough payoff, no proper animations for scenes etc. Easily in the bottom tier of VN's for this type of content.

  "A couple of animations" literally means what it means, like, two. I mean paying this much for a 18+ game with no animations? What year is this? 1990? Like bruh, Phantasmagoria had animations in 1995, I'm sure we can ask for more, especially for 15 bucks.

  Initial Review: This was cute and kinki AF. The girls are all nicely rendered, the scenes are very very nice! We played quite a few erotic VN games and so far this is among our favorites! There is a bit of game play before getting into the action but the story was really nice and it sets up the scenes nicely, so my GF and I decided to give it some time and in the end it was really worth it. 10/10 New Review: So we (me and my girlfriend) reviewed this game in quite a hurry and after playing so many such games we felt like we really didn't do this game justice, so we are doing a re-review. PRO: [list] [*]Renderings are super great! [*]The setting is really really nice as it is fantasy and it is really nicely done. [*]Nova is AWESOME! [*]The story is very very kinky, AF and this was one of our favorite things!!! [*]Another thing we loved was that unlike most games it doesn't piggy back on the whole incest thing going on nowadays. It has an element of KIND-OF, that takes a little bit there but it really nicely done and it integrates seamlessly into the story and it is a very small part of the story. [*]Lots of diversity in the scenes and not repetitive, lots of novelty [*][spoiler]TENT SCENE!!!! You'll know when you get there! :D[/spoiler] [/list] CON: [b]NONE[/b] BUT there is one mention that this is mostly a VN game and unlike some other games it has almost no game play, just VN story so this is not really a con but it depends on what you want and expect from such a game. The idea is that some choices are following the game narrative and it might be annoying sometimes for some as maybe you don't really like that chick but the story I think really sets things the right by the end (as far as we are concerned). We like those with gameplay and those without just as much depending on a lot of factors, and this game seemed perfect the way it is, just thought we should mention this. [b]Still 10/10 ![/b]

  This game is a cock tease. The first half of the game is completely devoid of sex, making you really get to know the cast of characters and their situation before rewarding you with your first sex scenes. Similar to a romance novel, or a Japanese eroge, the game spends a lot of time building you up for the moment. After the midway point, the sex starts coming much more frequently and the scenes have not been disappointing so far - even if they still love to tease you with interruptions and promises before the big event. The characters are largely likable, but it feels like the game limits your options for good romance scenes quite a bit and funnels you down some pretty predetermined paths. That said, the dialogue option you want isn't always the 'obvious' one so the game encourages you to play around with your decisions a bit. I'm getting close to the end, I think, and so far the game has been good fun - if the writing does sometimes have a tendency to ramble. The love scenes don't come as often as they do in many of those 'sex romp' games but you value them more because of that.
